RE: Just starting out

in Splinterlands3 years ago

Welcome, @t-angel1989!

I hope that you enjoy your journey in both Splinterlands and the Hive- blogging world.

I was idle from both for 3 years and a lot has changed since I have come back. But I can give you SOME advice:

  1. Don't give up. Just keep playing, learning, and posting. Build a community.

  2. In Splinterlands. Don't worry too much about getting higher in a league if you can't afford that 1000 power to go to Bronze 2, just complete each daily quest.
You will get a loot chest. You will have a 10% chance of earning a card reward, which you keep for good.
End your league season on Bronze 3 to get 5 loot chests.
Repeat this process for a while, you still need to learn to play before you rent cards. Even if they are good cards, you need a couple of hundred battles under your belt to know what to do with them.
Winning is a combination of strategy, luck, and later on, the power of your collection.
There are many guides to get you stronger.

  3. Use https://giftgiver.site/faucet to boost your account a little. This is a faucet to give you a tiny bit of HIVE and HIVE POWER. You need HP if you are to have resource credits to even process rentals. You can enter your name once an hour, every hour. I just did it for you.
Have a look at your wallet here: https://ecency.com/@t-angel1989/wallet
You will see you have 0.001 HIVE and 0.002 HP.
This is what each entry into gift-giver will give you.
Scroll down on that wallet and you will see where the hive comes from.

  4. Use #ecency at www.ecency.com if you want to create posts about anything and everything. Use your same login details. www.splintertalks.io is fine for Splinterlands content, but perhaps you have something to blog or post about that does not involve the game, find a community to get involved in, and earn some HP while you are at it!

That's really a lot all at one go so I will stop there.

I wish you the best of luck!

@zakludick how cool you are welcoming

Hehe. As much as I get help I also pass on what I know.

This is the only way to build a proper community!

Soon it will be @t-angel1989's turn to welcome new posters and players to Splinterlands and Hive!
