Bonus Prizes
Every participant that enters this tournament has an equal chance to win one bonus prize. It doesn't matter how well you perform in the event, you win the whole tournament or place last there is always an equal chance to get the bonus reward.
This time, we are going a bit into the UNTAMED set and the rewards are:
2 Random participants will get: Level 1 Spark Pixies (RARE)
and other 10 Random participants will get: Level 1 Goblin Thief (COMMON)
Loyalty System
Today, I'm gonna lay out some details about this system I want to develop to further reward players coming back to these tournaments and participating in these posts.
How to Participate:
One important thing to do before you are eligible to participate in the Loyalty System. Just leave a comment under the latest tournament post (this post at the moment). You need to do this only ONCE. I want to rule out some of those bots that only auto-pilot through tournaments and reward actual players.
How to Earn points:
Rules are going to be very simple. For every tournament participation, you will get 1 LP (loyalty point), If you finish in the top 10 you get 1 extra LP.
You can also earn an extra LP by reposting tournament-related posts to help me spread the word about these tourneys. There might be some additional posts/events where I will be giving out more LPs.
Loyalty Reward Structure
Keep in mind that this is something I'll experiment with over time and things will change, I'll be adding and removing available rewards but I'll try to stick with the structure as long as it makes sense to me and I can afford it. So the structure currently looks like this:

Still, some people refuse to read the posts thoroughly and comment on my older post to join. Guys, that doesn't help me too much :P Sorry if you were some of those people and didn't end up on the board, we will fix that, just comment if you are one of those people. I'm gonna keep this reminder forever I think. xD
I don't mind that some people don't read everything in the post thoroughly, but since you are trying to participate in a system (a very simple one I might add :D ) please take a minute to go through it. For that reason, all people that wanted to participate, please comment again because requests before this post won't be considered.
I welcome every feedback and idea for the development of the loyalty system, please share your thought in the comments below. You might've noticed that I trimmed down some DEC prices, to help me run this system sustainably, any bonus support like sending DEC to my account, voting, sharing my post, etc. is highly appreciated
Future LP System changes
I'm going to add some rules to point accumulation in the future and would like to know what you guys think.
The first one coming up next week is a -1 LP for every lucky participant that wins a bonus prize. I know this may sound weird but hear me out. I'm trying to share with the community, as much as possible. Random prize winners are here to make it a little bit more exciting, but in the end, I want to give something to everyone. Naturally because its luck dependent, some participants come up more often as winners, while others are still waiting for their first card. So to give to those unlucky ones, I have to take (a little) from the lucky ones.
If you compare that to the LP board rewards, you are still "4 points up" if you win a level 1 common from someone that didn't win anything. I think that's fair, what do you guys think?
The second one is the bonus points for reposting. Before anything, I want to thank you guys for doing that, it helps spread the word about these tournaments. I think we are missing one requirement that should make sense. We are talking about minimum followers here. I was thinking in the range of around 10-20 followers. For one reason in particular. Sharing a post with next to 0 followers doesn't actually help out and you're just getting an extra LP for nothing, basically. I want to make some of you at least try to participate in the community. You can do that in many ways. Participate in challenges, comment on the current state of the game, come up with some ideas/improvement, theorycrafting, art, you name it. Everyone is unique and can provide content.

So just comment here and you're in the LP point system? I'm gonna have to work hard to get more DEC so I can afford the tournaments... Life is tough when you're new here lol... don't know what's the best way to move forward besides just grind those daily chests...
First tournament in SL ever. Not sure if I'm even doing it right... hopefully I didn't just throw away 50 DEC that took me 1 month to get for nothing... (face palm)
Judging by your collection it might be tough, but its fairly doable to return that 50 entry. Good luck man!

Hey @z3ll , again, thank you for your dedication to this tournament string. It is by far my favorite.
Regarding the changes to LPs. I like the idea to "share the wealth", so your thought to remove an LP if someone wins a card makes sense. That way, non-winners can get to a card using LP faster. Good idea!
I think the second option for spreading the word can be gamed, though. For example, I'm in a Guild. If I convince all of my guildies to follow me, then I share the tourney posts, it still hasn't spread out to the greater audience. It is a good idea, don't get me wrong. But unfortunately, it can be abused. If you do implement it, I will do my best to get my guildies to follow me and share the info with them.
These are just the ramblings of an old man though. Do with them as you will, but I'll still be here donating 25 SPS every week (because I cannot seem to do better than the bottom tier lately) :)
Yeah, I'm not 100% satisfied with the solution either, but it's at least a start. It will "force" you to follow up on your guild members and you might see other Splinterlands content on your feed you wouldn't otherwise if you didn't follow them. The point is, that it just might create a habit for some people to use hive frontends to visit other profiles and engage with their content a bit more.
This is why I'm so desperately trying to get feedback, someone might have an idea previously overlooked, but the lack of engagement is killing me man haha

Well, of course, but that is the point of sharing a post on your profile, to share it with your followers. It turns out that the button goes from "Reblog this post" to "Get +1 LP" and I don't want this to be the case. I'd love it if you are sharing the post because you like it and not because you are getting something in return. This is just a bonus I want to give out as an appreciation for the support.
I don't know if there is a fair requirement for this extra point people can agree on, or is it best if I don't give out a point for sharing at all.
I agree on the point that it should not just be a reblog this post for +1 LP.
But imho it should not be depending on how much followers an user got. You could consider something like promote my tournament (with @z3ll mention, so you are triggered to judge) and a limit of once per week that would be earning +1 LP. I don't know how much work it will be to monitor and it is feasible.
Hmmm, yeah, like an alternative to reblogging that could work fine. This is the thing I want to achieve, that people create content, doesn't matter what their success is. Thanks for the suggestion!

what a great post the truth, every time I get more into this world I see better and better publications, I'm doing a draw for 2 epics and a rare one, in my profile I left the publication, but it's like you say, sometimes I feel that people do not even stop to read a little of the publication and just comment your name and the letter to win ....
