Talking about card combining is important, especially for new players and those just starting out in Splinterlands. Combining cards is vital to maximizing their stats and abilities. Not only do you have level 1 cards in the game, but you also need to level them up because doing so may unlock the ability to become stronger in battles.
You must first gather cards by opening packs or obtaining rewards cards from the Glint Shop.
The more you collect, the more positive benefits it will have for your account. Your quest to level it up and combine it will begin with the cards you gather.
Common Cards
Venari Heatsmith is one of the most abundant cards I have from previous editions, so I collect a lot of them and level them up to the maximum level because they are inexpensive and accessible, which is why I have to invest some money and accumulate them for my card deck.
As seen in the above image, Venari Heatsmith can be unlocked to level 3 by combining 14 cards, however, if you have only five cards, you can combine them to make it level 2. As you advance, level 4 requires 30 cards, and level 5 requires combining 50 cards. It takes a lot of cards to reach level 10, such as 400 copies of Venari Venari Heatsmith, if you wish to go further. This is a common card, and if you want to level it up, you need a lot of cards.
Legendary Cards
Unlike common cards, which require 400 cards to reach their maximum level, legendary cards only require 11 cards to reach their maximum level. Obtaining legendary cards is a difficult quest for both seasoned players and novice players. If you're lucky, you might find one in your treasure chest at random or you could use your Glint tokens to obtain one, but this is expensive because you need a lot of Glint tokens to get a legendary draw in the Glint Store.
Here's an example of a legendary card, which requires fewer cards. I possess a legendary card from the Chaos Legion edition, Kulu Mastermind, which is associated with the water element.
It's crucial that you gather your cards and level them up because, as you can see in the image above, I checked three copies of this Kulu Mastermind card to combine it to level 2. The Kulu Master Mind card from level 1 only have the ability to attack opportunities and weapons training ability. When combined it became a level 2 card, it also adds an additional ability the shield that makes it stronger. So if you have all 11 cards you can unlock it to level 4 max level card and unleash its full potential in the battlefield.
