I have learned one thing for sure overt he past two and a half years of playing Splinterlands... the team behind the project don't waste time on things that don't push the game forward.
For years, the Splinterlands team has developed a game that is so layered and brilliant that I trust their vision for the game.
The only thing that kind of stands alone are the NFTs that Splinterlands has released on SplinterTalk.
They don't seem to have any utility. Are the just collectable pieces?
The truth is... these are NFTs. They are attached to the same blockchain as the rest of the game of Splinterlands.
Here is my THEORY... not financial advice... not health or fitness advice... just total speculation. lol
What if these had some uses on land?
What if they act like Totems or something?
I have a hard time believing they will just be static NFTs with no utility.
Either way... if they have utility or not... I'm an NFT hound and I like these. Especially the animated ones.
So I have a nice little collection going, but I really hope they have utility in the future!
What do you think? Discuss in the comments.
I'm pretty sure they are just going to be collectibles, it doesn't make any sense to link them to land, they don't really fit with the vibe, they are nice though.
I think they will be collectibles. They could offer some sort of collection value down the road though just like skins increase airdrop points.
They literally said in the AMA to assume these have 0 utility.
Pretty sure it's just more money grab.
Any NFT that doesn't explicitly have use-cases seems to me like just paying for free images from the internet; and I don't EVER pay for software, media, etc.
