Greetings to all, hope you had a good Christmas and we have come to the end of the last brawl of 2024. We had so many amazing brawls throughout the year and it is time to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I put up each of my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets. I had learn many strategies, card selection and adaptation to new rulesets throughout the whole of this year and what a year it had been.
Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. This is very beneficial for me because now that I only play in modern for my daily battles, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this modern fray, I will get exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I have gotten more cards from the last end of season, hopefully there are opportunities for me to use them. Let's get right on to the battles of the brawl.

| Selection: | Close Range, Fire and Regret and Explosive Weaponry. For such a ruleset, I typically would like to use Quora and hide a martyr card to take the blast and allow 2 cards to grow in stats instead of 1. I had a reflection shield card to absorb the blast and prevent damage from it. The rest are taunt card and also a healer with Drybone raider serving as a striker but the only concern is due to it being a range attacker. |
| Outcome: | Win! While Drybone Raider do get some extra damage return, Quora alone was leading the gameplay supporter by healers and taunts. A good win to start the brawl. |

| Selection: | Healed Out, Beefcake and Counterspell. With such a ruleset combi, the number of cards do get restricted due to high health requirement. However for me, I can use 2 of my favourite Rebellion Soul Bound cards which is Commander Slade and Shock Trooper. These are all high attack and do well in many matches, Shock Trooper might seem a risky add due to the counterspell, but I want to end it fast and hope it gives me good value alongside a Oshannus that will not be harmed. Commander Slade will smash the front as a tank and hold up against many melee/range card due to dodge. |
| Outcome: | Win! Oppoenent cannot handle the big zaps from my mages and also the big damage from my melee guys. A strong win that overpower my opponent. |

| Selection: | Deflection Field and Noxious Fumes. This is a match to let the cleanse and immunity shine. However I only have cleanse so I plan with a big attacker Grum Flameblade hoping to clear my opponent and growing at the same time. |
| Outcome: | Lose! I was too eager to win. So landed so many heavy hitters but I neglected the fact that I might face a Quora that grows super fast with her double attack and endless growing due to blood lust and healing. Bad selection due to desire to win made me overlook totality in my strategy. |

| Selection: | Melee Mayhem, Fury and Even Stevens. With the limited mana, I called upon my reliable Oshannus to help me pull this through. With the eagerness to win, I added Shock Trooper to my lineup as well to go for high risk high reward matchup. |
| Outcome: | Lose. While my lineup gain loads of traction and clearing ground, the side effects of Shock Trooper for risk is too big which eventually cause me too much damage that I lose out myself in ground and eventually lost the match. |
Guild Final Tally
I am assigned 5 matches this brawl and managed to win all 3 matches out of the 5 matches (including 1 fleeing opponent). Of the 2 matches that I've lost, somehow the root cause of losing seemed to fall to the same reason where I was too eager to win and fielded cards that wanted strong wins but did not take care of the other aspects where we needed a holistic team and some survivability is actually important. Something to take note for future brawls.
Another strong result delivered by the guild where we were able to push ourselves and climb onto the podium coming in at position 3. We didn't have loads of people in the brawl but our win rate is crazy. Now we really need more people to fill up our frays and bring us to the next level. Let's try to onboard more people, keep up the good fights and strengthen our guild. Go PIZZA 2!
Closing
We have once again demonstrated how strong team the few of us are, whom can fight well and win strong, all can seen from the win ratee. But we do severly lack players to fill up the empty frays which ends up us giving free wins to other guilds even when their players are not as strong as ours. If you have a shiny collection and able to commit to the brawls 2 times per week, we ask for you to join us and win brawls together as a guild, gold frays tend to have more free wins and please consider joining us if you can be regular. We are getting better in our participation already and getting better brawl rewards. Do check us out in the PIZZA discord and check with the guild officers to gain entry to the guild.
