Splinterlands: Planning to buy a new Archon and the reason will shock you!🔥

This morning, after winning about seven or eight battles in a row, I ran into a tough pro opponent in one battle. I could tell he was a pro player just by looking at his avatar because he was wearing several unique accessories. My team wasn't weak either, but when I saw his team, I realised this battle was going to be very difficult. Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut was part of his lineup. This card instils a unique kind of fear on the battlefield. But that wasn't even the main problem, because I had built my team with my favorite Kindred brothers using the Earth element. The real problem arose when my opponent's Archon used its Inspire ability on all of its allied units. Well, for those who don't know, cards with the Inspire ability have the power to give every melee card on the team +1 melee attack power.

Are your ears perked up now? If not, look at the difference in my opponent's attack power in the two images above. I never imagined such a multi-fold impact from a single power. Although I myself like and use this Inspire ability, I never imagined a team where every card had the Inspire ability, because that would make the battle completely one-sided, wouldn't it? I can't even think of a counter to this ability right now, because even if you have Thorns, your most powerful cards wouldn't be able to withstand the impact of even one attack from these cards. And what if they also had the Trample or Bloodlust ability? It might be difficult for your opponent to even survive a single round.

However, it can't be that easy, because Splinterlands has a solution for every problem, and if this archon were truly that powerful, its price would surely be over $100. But in the Splinterlands market, this card is only available for $12. So, is this a great deal? Maybe I should buy it immediately without wasting any time.

But this FOMO (fear of missing out) doesn't suits my strategy. I've told you this many times before: no card is perfect. It depends on your battling style and strategic ability to determine how perfectly you can use a card or a power to your advantage in its best possible way. And a card's real performance and its pros and cons can only be tested on the real battlefield, and even then, multiple times, because the weather in Splinterlands changes constantly. Only then can you truly know how good or bad a card is.

So, for now, I'll rent this Archon for the upcoming season and test it in as many battles as possible. It might take me more than one season to test it thoroughly, but I won't proceed with purchasing it until I'm completely sure it's the right decision for me. If you (other players) know of any counter to this Archon's abilities, please let me know in the comments, because in my opinion, it's the best Archon I've encountered so far.
