I posted a problem on the Splinterlands Tech Support channel on Discord. A supposed tech support guy contacted me at asked what my problem was. I mentioned that I had issues with moving my SPS from Trustwallet to Hive.
His approach was to say that I had wrongly linked the account and had me visit this page to enter my 12 recovery words: https://xpubcalculation.dev/ He then emptied my wallet.
Problem was I thought that I had initially been approached from a tech support, but of course it wasn't. After he emtied my wallet, he erased the conversation and deleted his profile. It was definitely my fault since I should've known better, but I guess I was just being sloppy and inexperienced.
I did eventually get help from the real tech support team. I got great help from nickelbunker and markjason. Thank you for all your support and help in a very humiliating situation.
YES, I know... it was incredibly stupid of me. But this is more for your information.
It was an expensive lesson, but I will never ever, ever give out any account information again. Please all, learn from my mistakes!
