Support Article: Scholarship best Practices – Do's and Don'ts for scholars

in Splinterlands3 months ago

Scholarships in splinterlands are thriving and have become a mainstay in the ecosystem. The combination of manager and scholars have proved to be working out well. This time, I will be presenting the do's and don'ts for scholars when it comes to splinterlands scholarships.

Do's

1. Practice a lot

There's no better way to get better at something than to keep practicing. As a scholar who is new to splinterlands, constant practice would make you familiar with the Splinterlands ecosystem and help sharpen your skills. The more you engage in battles, the more you gain experience, learn from them and from other people's tactics, which all come together to make such newbie a better player.

2. Have realistic expectations

As a scholar, you can't jump from being a beginner to being a pro in one instant. That is why scholars need to have realistic expectations for their level. If you are new to splinterlands, you need to understand that you won't be able to win all the battles, you won't be able to earn huge rewards at first. These things take time, dedication and perseverance.

Some scholars would want to compare themselves to their manager or some other big player. But that is them being unfair to themselves. Comparing yourself to others and having unrealistic expectations would only get you frustrated.

3. Be eager and willing to learn
Managers usually have a lot to offer and teach scholars. It's up to that scholar to want to learn. At first, splinterlands look like a lot. It would seem complex to a newbie. But I believe that with a passion to learn and with the help of a manager, the intricacies of splinterlands can be unraveled.

Don'ts

1. Don't be afraid to make mistakes

Mistakes are a part of life. We make mistakes, learn from them, and make better decisions in the future. That's how we grow. It isn't any different when it comes to splinterlands. Be open and willing to make mistakes, fail, or lose. At the end of the day, it's what we learn from such mistakes that matters, not the mistake itself.

2. Don't overwhelm yourself or the manager

Sometimes a scholar may become too eager and may want to grasp everything about splinterlands at once. That's counterproductive. Trying to grasp everything at once will only make you overwhelmed and take away the fun of the game, as there is a lot to learn at the start.
In the same vein, due to the extreme eagerness, the scholars would want to overwhelm their managers, trying to get them to teach them so much at once. It is important to know that these managers have their own lives and need time to do other things.

3. Don't forsake the basics

Being new to splinterlands, there are basic simple things that ought to be known. Knowing these things will ensure that you have a smooth time in the Splinterlands ecosystem. Take time to know the basics, and you will be happy for it.
