Cuando entro nuevamente a jugar necesito siempre de varios días para aprender mis rivales, pero extrañamente siempre termino aprendiendo que no debo hacer, aunque si digo que esto es algo nuevo estaría mintiendo.
La siguiente pelea es una prueba rotunda de que si no estas atento a todos los detalles puedes fracasar rotundamente, ya que fue la victoria más fácil que obtuve desde que regrese, y vaya que ha sido difícil obtener victorias desde entonces.

When I start playing again, I always need several days to learn about my opponents, but strangely enough, I always end up learning what not to do, although I would be lying if I said this was something new.
The next fight is clear proof that if you don't pay attention to every detail, you can fail miserably, as it was the easiest victory I've had since I returned, and it has been difficult to win since then.

Primero que nada, observamos que la regla de batalla nos ofrece escudo a todas las unidades por lo que es indispensable protegerse de esos ataques mágicos que pueden venir ya que es de lógica que deber usar ataques a distancia cuando esa regla viene en nuestro enfrentamiento.
Intentando protegerme de esos ataques justamente tuve una combinación bastante interesante para buscar hacer bastante daño protegiéndome lo máximo posible de los ataques antes mencionados.

In an attempt to protect myself from these attacks, I came up with a rather interesting combination to inflict considerable damage while protecting myself as much as possible from the aforementioned attacks.

No cabe duda que la mejor carta para esa regla de batalla es la de Nim Guard Captain, la cual ya posee la habilidad de Void que reduce los ataques mágicos asi que además obtendría la habilidad de Shield eso haría que el único ataque que estaría recibiendo realmente seria los de rango.
Esto además acompañado de una combinación de cartas de apoyo que aumentan aún mas las posibilidades de victoria y son bastante buenas.
There is no doubt that the best card for this battle strategy is Nim Guard Captain, which already has the Void ability that reduces magic attacks, so it would also gain the Shield ability, meaning that the only attacks it would actually receive would be ranged attacks.
This is also accompanied by a combination of support cards that further increase the chances of victory and are quite good.

La mas importante de ellas quizás es Dark Arborist, ya que reduce en 1 los ataques cuerpo a cuerpo, esto haría que el tanque quien es el que seguro debe tener el ataque cuerpo a cuerpo como comúnmente sucede, tenga aun menos daño a nuestra 1era carta, dejando un margen mas corto de daño.
Perhaps the most important of these is Dark Arborist, as it reduces melee attacks by 1. This would mean that the tank, who is usually the one with the melee attack, would do even less damage to our first card, leaving a smaller margin for damage.

Nuestro rival por su lado comete un error grave y es que no solo decidido como es lógico, colocar en primera línea a un monstruo con ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, sino que todas sus unidades tendrían ese tipo de ataque entre 1 y 2 respectivamente haciendo que la regla del shield me dé un muy bajo rango de daño.
Pero además con la habilidad de Dark Arborist le reduzca el ataque a esos que vienen con 2 de daño a 1, eso haría que todas sus unidades tengan un 0 de daño a todas mis cartas no solo a la que está en primera posición de batalla.
Esto terminaría en la batalla más fácil que he obtenido en muchísimo tiempo ya que era imposible recibir daño alguno. Aquí les muestro la batalla completa:

Comentarios Finales:
El formato moderno está bastante más difícil de lo que recuerdo así que cada victoria es valiosa para mi ya que siento que los jugadores actuales tienen mucho conocimiento de las cartas actuales y como utilizarlas.
Mi conocimiento es alto en las ediciones Chaos Legion y Untamed que hace mucho que dejaron de formar parte de la edición moderna del juego, es obvio que me falta más experiencia para familiarizarme con las cartas nuevas y luego empezar a alquilar las cartas necesarias para poder volver a plata como estaba acostumbrado.
Espero que desde este año nuevo pueda mantener el ritmo y no decaiga con el pasar de los meses como sucedió en 2025, y poder ser mas activo como años anteriores.
Final Comments:
The modern format is quite a bit more difficult than I remember, so every victory is valuable to me since I feel that current players have a lot of knowledge about the current cards and how to use them.
My knowledge is strong in the Chaos Legion and Untamed editions, which have long since ceased to be part of the modern edition of the game. It's obvious that I need more experience to familiarize myself with the new cards and then start renting the necessary cards to get back to silver as I was used to.
I hope that starting this new year, I can keep up the pace and not slump as the months go by, as happened in 2025, and be more active as in previous years.
