I'm waiting for my daughter who enjoys opening chests and discovering airdrops so I have to wait until tomorrow.

I might introduce my daughter to card opening for Rift Watchers perhaps -though the images might scare her, so unsure.
Consider that it took me longer to choose the avatar than to choose the formations of at least 20 battles
This is why I left mine as default :D
I think it would be quite a unique addition to be able to not only create the in-game avatar, but mint it as an official Splinterlands NFT too.
Looks like my daughter isn't the only one who likes opening packs, chests as well. I try to wait for her to open......but it's so hard. Gotta open them packs.....

How old is your daughter? Mine is six and she is sensitive at the best of times - not sure how she will go with monsters :)
She's seven and not a fan of monster cartoons, but I think she looks past the images on the cards and focuses on the colour in the middle which depicts rarity and ofc, the GFs. She gets excited by me whooping when we get a Legendary or GF and the animation when that happens. The SPL team has done a great job with the shaking of a Legendary or the GF change to the card.
