Splinterlands Social Media Challenge : The Protector of Hades

in Splinterlands5 days ago

With the arrival of the new rewards cards, almost all attention is directed to this new cards. But still I think the previous reward set has a better utilities in battle. So for this weeks social media challenge I will be featuring one of my favorite low mana rewards card in my favorite element, the Death.

This unit maybe little but it gives a a lot of utilities that makes the battle outcome be in it's team favor, and this unit is not other than " Ravenhood Warden ".

This unit plays a very important role in the Death element since not much protection is available in this element, so the skills of the Warden is very useful.

This are the skills that makes him a very important element in battles.

  • Protect - all friendly units gain +2 armor.

Like I said the death element has a good units that gives a hard time for enemies to deal with but the only problem is that they need to be protected to be able to be effective, this is where the ability protect helps. By giving allies +2 Armor they will be able to take the initial hits from sneak and opportunity units.

  • Inspire - gives melee units +1 melee attack.

Now this skill helps me every time since my main tank is always Wndeku and I always use Sha-vi as a sneak unit, they are both strong but adding more melee damage makes them more destructive specially with Sha-vi who have the pierce ability.

I will be showing a line up that I often use with the warden as the main utility provider. And I hope this can convince players specially newbies to love the death element.

So here is my Line Up.

  • This line up usually works in 30 Mana below where atleast 22 is the minimum. You can just fill the gaps if you have extra mana, there are a lot of ranged and mages can be used. no need to worry about the position since the warden will provide protection.

  • Like mention above I aleays use Windeku as my main tank ,and Sha-vi at the back, Sha-vi has no natural shield so it's not a good idea to place him in the back, but with Warden on the
line up it will be protected at the same time Sha-vis damage will make the piercing ability more effective, and Usareus usually follows up after Sha-vi making sure the target will be eliminated with their combo.

And I guess you can already see the whole picture on how to utilize warden when you choose to include him in your line up.

Here is a battle you can watch that highlights how important the Protect ability from the Warden is.
