So here we are again new week, new Season & the new reward system came into affect.
The new Daily Focus replacing the Daily Quests
Last season I finished in Bronze 2 and I’m not sure if this affects how difficult it becomes for me to win the new focus points and season rewards but basically since the the new reward system came into affect I’ve not been able to take home any daily focus Chests (until late last night Saturday) and have only just won 1 season Chest after 3 days of battling. My ERC has been demolished and now sit’s at around 12% I need to get 300 focus points & 300 season points just to obtain one chest for each.
First thoughts on the new reward system, I’m not impressed as it seems to make it a lot more difficult to level up if you only have starter cards or few cards that I’ve won or bought.
The way the system is set up now it lets the rich get richer. If you only use starter pack cards this reduces 100% of the reward points you can win but if you’ve spent loads of money on packs of cards or rent out cards for every daily focus then your going to get those reward points, not everyone can afford to do this so basically the grind to level up as a newbie has just got even harder and for someone who wants to play the game with minimal investment your going to find it tough to move up in the ranks. That’s not to say it not possible it’s just tougher.
This shows you what bonus points you can get in each battle and the % or rewards removed if you use the starter pack cards. Thinking about it, it’s almost pointless having the starter cards as there of no benefit to you playing them.
The recommended way to win the the daily focus is to not use the starter cards but go and rent out cards from that splinter that will enable you to win battles. In Theory this sounds good but 1. You need to know the best cards to rent and 2. You need the credits or DEC to do this. So far I have tried this on two different daily focuses but I’ve been unsuccessful. To win a chest I need to win 300 focus points and on each occasion I didn't get above 20 points hence why I say the grind is even harder now.
As mention above you need credits and DEC to do this, I had around 30 credits and 400DEC but this won’t last long if I’m not able to win the daily focus and have to spend out all the time which I don’t want to do.
Personally I’m happy to pay for the initial investment into the game and then play to work your way up but the new reward system requires continual investment which I think will put off a lot of new players, it’s alright if you have been playing for a long time and have a fantastic deck and you’ve bought hundreds of Chaos Legion packs as this will you to win masses of points hence why I say it allows the rich to get richer and those who can’t afford to invest in the game get left behind.
Anyway I will continue to play the game and adjust my tactic's and see if I can start to make some head way with the new rewards system and then update on my progress good or bad.
Moving on to the weekly updates here’s my stats from the last week.

It’s now Sunday morning and I’ve just been able to claim the focus chest and for the amount of work I put in to get that I’m very disappointed with the 1 Alchemy Potion I was rewarded as it’s useless unless your buying pack of cards. I will do a specific blog on this.
