Just saying Hello! {Newcomer to Splinterlands}

in Splinterlands3 years ago

Hey there! I'm Snarky_Mouse and just wanted to reach out and say "Hey!" to fellow Splinterlands players!

I've been playing SPL for about about a month now. This is also my first experience with NFT's, card battlinggames and dealing with crypto currency. So when first signing up for SPL "I was thinking what the heck am I doing!?"...Who are we kidding, I'm still saying this as I win or lose SPL battles, go up and down tiers, learn popular metas or create new accounts on crypto platforms I am just hearing about. Wait... all this isn't common knowledge and I'm just missing it, right? Since starting SPL I have been floating in the Bronze Tier, currently Bronze II but who knows where that will be tomorrow. Back down to novice or will I finally get to check out the Sliver Tier? Either way I'm having fun learning and I can't wait to see what this and future seasons will hold!

I am new to Splinterlands but I am not new to gaming. I have been playing PC games for about 10 years. Growing up we had consoles and some handheld games but it wasn't until I build my first PC did I really jump in. While I like to spend my free time playing games and catching up tv shows, the rest of my energy is spent caring for my family, being a soccer mom, hanging with friends and volunteering in my community.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to check out my (first) post! If you want to follow along with my SPL journey, learn along with me or just chat while I figure out this game be sure to check out my Snarky_Mouse Twitch Channel .

Here are some of the Splinterland cards I currently own..

Hello, @snarkymouse! I'm @jcrodriguez from the @OCD team. we've seen that you've already published your first post here on Hive!

The best way to start your journey here at Hive is to make an awesome introduction post . As an example of what an introduction post is, you can refer to this introduction post for reference:

Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community

There is no specific format on how to make your introduction post, but there are some suggested content we would like to see in your post: Information like who you are and where you're from, how you discovered Hive or who invited you, what types of content you want to see here and the types you want to produce, and what your expectations are on this platform. You can choose the information you want to share. This will help other Hivers get to know you and feel comfortable supporting your work here.

Keep in mind that Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms, as you are monetizing your blog, so it's important not to include content you don't own without sources (and it should not exceed 50% of the post). For more information, check out this post – Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise by hivewatchers. You can also check out this excellent collection of resources to understand how plagiarism and abuse is handled on the platform.

If you have questions or concerns, you can join the OCD Discord server and we will be happy to answer your questions.

Lovesniper will follow you, we hope to see your presentation post soon! You can tag @lovesniper in your introduction post.
