- [SPECIAL] SplinterForge.io Review and How to Win
--
Splinterlands Daily Update
- Another 7 diamond chests day
- Modest amount of SPS, that's it
Daily Focus Chests: +7 Diamond | 41 Diamond Total
Hovering around 3100 rating
- Dipped to Diamond III and brought it back up with winning streak to finish the day
--
Crypto Today: Crypto recovered a little with the stock market
HIVE rebounded back to 27 cents
HIVE/BTC rebounded back to 1600 sats
BTC briefly climbed over $17000 and now just dipped below for the 🦀🦀🦀 walk
SPS is holding 🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀 crab pattern
- Supply should be expanding, but it is not
- Maybe Splinterlands is paying players from the existing liquid supply
- More SPS continued to be staked today
GLX is holding above 0.11 SWAP.HIVE
- Almost 3000 SWAP.HIVE defending 0.1 SWAP.HIVE
- Not bad considering what it is right now

SplinterForge.io - read on, I will cover how to win
What is it?
- This is a #play2earn game developed by a third party (not affiliated with Splinterlands)
- It takes advantage of #Splinterlands NFT assets, and allows players to use their cards to build a team to fight bosses
- In addition, players can buy crates (packs) using DEC or FORGE (its own in game currency at 1:1) to upgrade heroes (will get into more details later)
The Boss Fight
- 4 tiers, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond with increased difficulties
- Boss has default abilities, plus 1 to 3 random abilities
- Every boss has Forcefield, in this game it cuts damage by 50% if the attack is 5 or above
- You should adjust your teams and tailor to the boss abilities
- Scoring points in a battle resets random abilities
How to earn rewards
- Each battle you submit and score points gives you single digit FORGE, it is so insignificant, you may as well consider it zero
- Compete for Top 100 or get nothing
- Bronze: 2,500 to 30,000 FORGE
- Silver: 5,000 to 60,000 FORGE
- Gold: 7,500 to 90,000 FORGE
- Diamond: 12,500 to 150,000 FORGE
This is an example of a Gold Boss that got defeated
- I ranked 112, because I went to sleep and not running a bot
- 0 rewards for this battle, because I dropped out of top 100
- I have won a 30,000 FORGE 2 days ago, and 15,000 FORGE yesterday
- It is getting more competitive, as few hundred more players joined, and players have started to figure out how to get better scores
Tip #1: Watch Recent Battles
- This is the easiest way to see what works and what doesn't
Tip #2: Sharing with you my observations
- Every boss has Forcefield, in this game it cuts damage done by 50% if the attack is 5 or over
- Most optimal is to have an attack of 4 and no more (including summoners' buffs), so aim to use monsters with 2 or 3 attack (including the SplinterForge only ability that modifies damage by 1.5x)
- Speed is the most important stats, the faster you are the more times you attack, which is what gives the most damage
- Speed differential between you and the boss, makes you dodge physical attack. Debuff the boss with Slow is very important to stay alive longer
- This team looks solid, study it
- Almost every top player use the kitty (+2 speed, True Aim, and Heal = I WIN BUTTON)
FORGE price is very concerning (If you invested with your hard earned cash, this is how you cash out)
- FORGE is supposed to be the same as DEC, if you were to use either to purchase in game packs (crates)
- While DEC is still holding at 0.00214 SWAP.HIVE, the price for FORGE has already collapsed
- When @gadrian wrote about #SplinterForge (thank you bud, you were right about getting in early), the price was about 0.0015 SWAP.HIVE bid and 0.0018 SWAP.HIVE ask
- Yesterday was about 0.0013 / 0.0016 bid/ask
- As you can see right at this very moment, it is already below 0.001 SWAP.HIVE
- With very thin Buy Orders, bid/ask ratio is 1:10 roughly, the Sell Orders will overwhelm the market
Downward spiral already?
Few hundred players (or even thousands) are not enough to sustain the FORGE Rewards given out to the TOP 100 players in each difficulty
As top players (already with good cards) capture the entire rewards pool, and new players get nothing for playing, it will unfortunately weed out and discourage new players
Who would be the buyer of FORGE then? Whales? They are already winning
Ultimately, this was rewarding for a few days if you participated in the pre-sale, and figured out what I just showed you
AND ULTIMATELY, this is #pay2win and #bot2earn, by design this destination is inevitable
- 200 stamina to start with (and you can spend 100,000 FORGE for each 5 stamina points upgrade)
- I think the stamina regeneration is about 1 per minute or faster
- Most optimally, you want to dump your stamina, ALL OF IT AND MORE, on 1 boss, to rank high
- But each 5 stamina will cost you 100,000 FORGE
- Assumed I am right, it is 1 min/stamina regeneration, then you will need 480 stamina to not waste any stamina for an 8 hours sleep and AFK, that will cost you 5.6 million FORGE (that's thousands of dollars)
I have bought 10 packs with the first 30,000 FORGE I earned
This is my Warrior, got a couple lucky epics
- You have to gear up your Warrior, Ranger, and Wizard separately
And I use some the next 15,000 FORGE "Re-Forge" to convert low rarity items for higher rarity
- 4 commons and 150 FORGE gets you 1 Rare
- 6 rares and 500 FORGE gets you 1 EPIC
Combine duplicates gets you higher level (this I haven't tried)
Pay to Win
- I have seen someone with 25 a Speed hero, the boss could barely hit the hero, it dealt thousands of damage (points), alone
- Ultimately to win the game long term, you will probably need to sink in thousands of dollars to re-forge, combine, and cap out the heroes
- There will be a few meta Splinterlands cards for this game specifically as people figure out the optimal
- The end game whales competing against each other, the constant revenue stream for this game is bots drinking stamina potions
The Economy of FORGE
Unfortunately cannot be sustained by whales only, but why would casual players spend time on this game if they are getting nothing out of it? (you can literally have more fun and make more money doing anything else, including blogging on HIVE)
Conclusion
The Good
- I love the idea that the developer showed a good use of Splinterlands assets in their own game
- This creativity hopefully will set an example for more good things to come
The Bad
- You have to be dedicated and play every few hours to use up your stamina if the boss is not yet defeated
- If you don't achieve top 100, you spent all the time and get nothing in return
- The end game is botting and stamina potion spamming, after you have spent at least thousands or tens of thousands upgrading your heroes and picked up meta cards from Splinterlands just for this game
- The economic model may not be sustainable, would there be enough revenue to sustain the game? I have my doubts
26 cents didn’t happen before 27. Buy now?
You've made very good observations, including on the concentration of rewards on the leaderboard which is now dominated hard by major players.
Regarding tips, you have to watch for the 1.5x damage too, which increases the damage, and you might go above 5 damage.
Yes. I will add the 1.5x into the write up.
The top 100 is supposed to encourage spending, but it will be a nonstarter if FORGE can’t maintain the value.
I won 2500 forge ✨✨
Hive looks so strong and incoming days hive can touch easily 35c. I think now the market will go 20 thousand. SPS price will go up and also sprinterland cards prices also going up. All games will go to the moon again in the upcoming Bull Market. Because people still have a lot of interest in buying NFTS.
so is there a bot for forge already? did you use?
I don’t bother with forge anymore. I don’t use bots and more often than not I don’t make it to the top 100. Waste of time and attention span for nothing.
