I like your strategy for accumulating cards, especially newer Legendaries.
I think that they tend to have the most utility and the greatest value in game play and appreciation.

The tricky thing about Splinterlands is the question of will cards hold value overtime if they can only be used in wild versus modern.

So I think your strategy of getting newer Legendary cards is wise.
You avoid any possible depreciation for legendaries we can only use in Wild.
