Arriving in Splinterverse can be tough
I can well remember how overwhelmed I was when I joined in 2021 and how much time it took me to learn how things work. I burned my fingers many times.
One of the biggest boosts was finding a guild. Luckily, I started together with a friend who is always really fast in connecting to communities when we join new games together. And that made my life really a lot easier. I joined the Legendary Dragons guild alliance and played in multiple of their wings from Tier 1 to Tier 5 brawls. Last year, I changed to YGG Asgard, as it was time to move on for me.
Not everyone will immediately connect to us via discord
In 2021, we connected through discord, but not everyone immediately jumps on it to connect to a community.
So I decided last year to open an open guild that everyone can join. Prior to wild pass and ToS adjustments basically only bots joined. In the meantime, I filtered it out quite well and there's a bunch of active human beings.
What's in for new players when joining?
Having such a Tier 1 guild is interesting, because rewards for new players are really low. In Tier 1, competition is not that hard and we regularly place 1st or 2nd, which makes players receive 25-30 SPS per brawl and some merits. It ain't much, but it's honest work ;-)
In addition to that, I started delegating 500 SPS to new players I stuble upon either here or on Twitter. When I see them being really active, I delegate a more or less complete Chaos Legion Level 1 set, so they can learn cards and abilities without rental trouble or buying.
Remember: joining can be overwhelming!
I hope you help our new players as well. They're really important!
Feel free to reach out to me anytime if you're interested! I can always free up some space, as I am filling it up with my own alt accounts.
