Weekly Share Your Battle Challenge. CARRION SHADE.

in Splinterlands3 years ago

Hey Guys.

What’s Up? How are you all holding up?

I hope that you all are well by the grace of Allah.

As promised I'm back again with another post of splinterlands. It's a new entry for this week's share your battle contest. In this post, I'll be sharing one of my ranked battles of splinterlands played with the fire splinter. I'll be discussing the lineup and strategy of this battle in this post. I'll also be sharing each and every detail of the monsters that I've used in this battle. I think I'll be able to explain the whole battle and describe every possibility of it. I hope you'll like it and it'll be enough for anyone to understand the battle strategy.

Now, let's get back to the main topic. And today's battle is quite exciting. Because the enemy was stronger than me if we consider the power of the cards. More details are in the post.

As a summoner, I used the CONTESSA L'AMENT. This card is a rare death summoner and it is from the chaos legion edition. This summoner has the ability to decrease the ranged attacking ability of every enemy monster. Though it wasn't much of help because my opponent wasn't using any monster that uses ranged attacking ability. But it comes in help during other battles.

My Lineup:

In the first position, I used the CURSED WINDEKU in the second place. It's a rare death monster which is a chaos legion card. This is a melee attacking monster and it has a special ability named Thorns. This is one of the strong abilities that monsters in this game have. It's also useful in battles. When a monster with melee attacking ability hits it, it can reflect the damage of -2 life to that monster with the help of this thorn's ability.

Then in the second position, I used the theme card of this week's contest. Using this card is one of the conditions that one must follow to participate in the " weekly share your battle challenge" contest. The name of this monster is CARRION SHADE. This monster is a rare melee attacking monster that plays under the death splinter and it's from the chaos legion cards edition. I have 2 attacking speeds, 2 life, and 1 melee attacking ability. But, it gains 3 life, 4 attacking speeds and 2 melee attacking speeds. Which is really great compared to the mana it costs to use in battle. Because this monster costs only 1 mana cap to use in battle. This monster comes in handy during battles where get to use the lowest amount of mana caps. It also becomes helpful when we might need a card to use as a backup or something like a sacrificial pawn.

Explanation of this card from SPLINTERLORE.

A carrion shade is a dark-winged bird that feeds off of the dead bodies of animals and people. They often flock to battlefields and dangerous parts of the wilderness where there are sure to be corpses. They travel in small groups and have no natural predators. Most people fear the carrion shades, though. For to see a group following you is to know your life is in danger. Tales whispered by the elder wise women claim that if you see a single carrion shade perched outside your home, then someone you love will die that night. A drizzle cast the forest road in shades of gray. The forest itself gave off a mournful, lonely atmosphere. The trees bowed in the silence and stillness. And it was only broken by the fluttering of wings. A group of carrion shades surrounded a humanoid body. A person left on the side of the road, their belongings taken and stab wounds across their body. Any passerby would have known it was a deal gone wrong. But under the watch of the forest, it was only a scene of the circle of life. One body feeding others. The dark feathers of the carrion crows blocked out the corpse as they enjoyed their meal.

Then I used the SILENT SHA-VI in the third position. It's a common death monster which is a chaos legion card. The main reason for me using this monster is its sneak attacking ability. I used monsters that can hold the frontal attacks and also kill the monsters in the front position. But, as we all know that position doesn't actually matter to magic attacking monsters. They can attack from any position. If all my monsters were focused on attacking the first card then it'd take longer than expected till they were able to attack the monster in the back. And I'd lose the battle, which exactly happened to my opponent. This is why I used this monster with sneak so that I get the enemy from all possible points. You can never tell where you can find the weak spot of a lineup before starting the battle and that is why I like to be ready for any possibilities.

Then I used the LIFE SAPPER in the 4th position. It's a rare death monster which is a chaos legion card. I use this monster mainly in my battles because of its life leech ability. This ability helps this monster to gain +1 life every time it attacks an enemy monster. And this is why I use it in the middle of my lineup and that's how it gets and a huge amount of life that makes it strong to hold the 1st position and also sometimes helps to win the battle.

And then in the fifth position, I used the SOUL STRANGLER which is a rare death unit from the chaos legion edition. As a ranged attacking monster, it's better to be used in the end and that's what I did. Also, it costs a little number of mana caps (3) to use in battle, and yet it has a good damaging ability (2).

Then I used the DHAMPIR STALKER in the last position. It's a rare death unit monster which is a chaos legion card. I used this monster because of its strong ranged attacking ability including its true strike ability. Because of this special ability, this monster doesn't miss any attacks. This means monsters with flying or dodge cannot dodge their attacks. Also, this monster has a strong ranged damaging attacking ability which was really a huge help during the battle.

It was all about my lineup and also about the reasons to put each card in its position including the abilities of the cards.

Strategy

In this battle my strategy was to hold the attacks using the CURSED WINDEKU by the time my sneak attacking monster and my other monsters will kill the opponent's monsters. My strategy worked and I won the battle.

The question may have already appeared that I’m writing a post to join some contest. But where are the details about the contest?

Here are the details.

There amazing thing is ongoing in this blockchain for almost 3 years maybe and I'm a part of it for more than 2 years. So, it's not something new but I think there's still someone who doesn't know about it or isn't a part of it yet.

This amazing thing is the ongoing contest of splinterlands. By now I guess most of you know what SPLINTERLANDS is. It's an online card game. Though it's not only a game, in here you can earn by playing, trade by buying and selling. You will also get amazing rewards in the daily quests and also in season-ending quests. This is one of the best card games that I've ever played. The fun thing is, there are a lot of cards/monsters to use in battle. And when I say a lot, I mean it. And all of them have their own specialty, separate types of powers and so many types of special abilities. There are even some summoners under those the cards play. These summoners also have their own ability which affects the battlefield. This is really amazing. This gives you the chance to think of hundreds of strategies for your battle. Believe me, once you start playing this game you'll fall in love with it.

All of these are my personal opinion about @splinterlands and their contest. And if you find it interesting, you are welcome to join SPLINTERLANDS. I'm also putting my referral link to make it easy for you to join if you want. There are already some people who joined splinterlands using my refer. You’re also welcome to join.
