Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
With the year of 2024 coming to a close, its just the perfect time to have a look on my Splinterlands journey, reflecting on my experience as I play this amazing card game as well as what have I achieved within the past year. And to start the year 2025 full of positivity, it was also a great time to set some goals that I want to achieve with the up coming year and come up with plans in order to achieve it.
And that will be the topic that I want to talk about for this week's Community Engagement Challenge.
My 2024 Journey
I have been playing the game since 2021 and to this day, I have played a total of 20,807 battles which have been played manually and without any assistance from battle helpers. Since there was a few days left before 2024 ends, I believe that I could play another 100 battles and since I also played 3 other accounts, that number will increase by at least 3x. What's more is that by playing on the highest league, I could always reach Champion League before the season ends.
Meanwhile, I have accumulated a total of 86, 324.664 SPS which I earn organically by playing ranked battles, participating in brawls and joining tournaments though ever since that the league cap has been removed and there was no more leaderboard prize in Diamond, I need to use my tournament earnings to convert it for DEC so that I can use it to purchase or rent cards that I need.
Speaking of purchases, I have managed to purchase a total of 100 Rebellion packs through the in-game shop. It was not enough for me to have a competitive deck for the higher leagues and once Chaos Legion moves to Wild, I may only have a deck that was able to compete in Bronze or Silver league but with Rebellion as scarce as untamed, there will not be enough rebellion for players and I assume that it will allow for me to earn more SPS even with the lower leagues. At the same time, I also have participated in the Hall of Legends event and is currently positioned at the 523rd place within the leaderboard but I was planning to purchase some more cards in order to position me within the top 500 to get one of those titles.
When it comes to my progress on my rebellion soulbound rewards, it was not as fast as the others including the other accounts that I played but since I would probably stick with Bronze/Silver league once Chaos Legion moves to modern, It really was not a concern of mine and I can still grind for soulbound rewards even after until that time comes.
Occasionally, I also participate on tournaments and most of the times I join, I was able to win some of the prizes which has allowed me to rent and buy some cards but I did not expect that before the new year ends, I was able to grab the 1st Place on the recent Fight Pit Diamond Series which was held just this December 26 and bag 592.7 SPS. It was not the highest amount that I earned on tournaments but placing first was the first time for me and was an achievement that I am proud of.
I do not collect many of my battles in me so when it come to the best battle, I could only look within my previous battle post and came up with my battle of the year goes to my battle against @yabapmatt. What makes me choose this battle is not only because I win against a powerful opponent that is playing a powerful team. What makes this my best battle is because I was against the CEO of the game that I am playing.
2025 Splinterlands Goals
1️⃣ STAKE 150k SPS
As of the writing of this post, I have a total of 86, 324.664 SPS that was staked in my account and for the year of 2025, my goal is to reach 150k SPS organically which is basically doubling what I own which can be done by continuing to play ranked battles, participating on guild brawls and joining tournaments. This will also stop me from renting more SPS to have decent multiplier to earn as well as will give me better voice when voting on dao proposals.
2️⃣ PREPARE FOR CONCLAVE ARCANA
Conclave arcana will be the next set that will come right after Rebellion and will soon replace Chaos Legion in Modern. It will also can be the set by which new players will have once marketing of the game officially starts. My goal is to at least double my purchase to the rebellion packs that I bought or have a competitive silver deck.
3️⃣ OBTAIN 5 WORKING LANDS
Currently, I own a single piece of Hills in the Great Lowlands of Tostrington which is farming grains but with the upcoming Land 1.75, there will be more resources that will be available and not all type of land can farm grains anymore so my plan is to have at least 5 different types of land to work on different types of resources. Also, having 5 lands will give 5% bonus on my ranked battles as well as the Warden prefix title.
Closing
2024 was a challenging year for everyone but despite those challenges, the game has still manages to survive and continues to become better and with that, I am looking for the year 2025 with lots of positivity and that the game will once again dominate the web3 game industry.
