Hello everyone,
Okay, time to give away a card so I will do that first. It was from this post sorry I am a few days late.
The winner is. @freedomprepper who plays on account prepperfreiheit
I hope it helps and congrats.
Each week I ask you guys a question and you have to answer to win the card. I always read them all but don't always reply. You have to answer the question or you won't be in the draw. I don't care what you say but it has to be an answer that makes sense. Trying to avoid bots.
What are your thoughts on the change of only DEC on Quest Potions?
The giveaway is only on hive.
Recap they made it so you can only buy the Quest potion with DEC no more credits. I like the change for a simple reason it was a way to earn extra DEC that would hurt the amount it is worth. It was a pretty easy little trick. Use DEC to buy some hive buy credit to earn more dec repeat. While I feel bad for anyone that bought a lot of credits right before the change it was not supposed to work like that.
What card can you win this week?
Centauri Mage is a good card.
It makes sense why they did it, but they should adjust the DEC price of potions to make it more in line with the original cost via credits.
@mcgilli
The problem was dec is worth 7 times, so to be fair they should be adjusting the credits up 7 times
I think it was a great move. It was easy to abuse, win a few DEC, exchange DEC for Hive then Credits, buy more potions, win more DEC, repeat, repeat, repeat.... Once the bots got ramped up, we wouldn't have any more cards, just a flood of DEC until it all crashed.
the change quest potion really hurt us(beginners) now its harder to rise in rank but that is still okay as long as the upcoming packs can be bought by credits.i dunno what to do to my credits, buying leg and alc potion from it is not worth XD
@yasufuma
I like it, the move promotes long term growth as opposed to quickly exchanging DEC to Hive. Overall, it is a massive W. @jmehta
As a new player I find the change a bad one. The card supply is just too small and the advancement will be too slow getting 1 chest a day when most of the time it is not card.
@doombledore
I understand the choice, but I think DEC should be adjusted to be more around the cost of what it was before. Maybe not $.75, but it certainly should not ever be $7.50. That might as well be theft.
But again, I understand the choice, it's easier to just stop the exploit and put it on pause for now while they find a properly thought out solution, rather than throwing a literal wrench into the economy's balance and hoping it works.
Awesome giveaway!
@tipu curate
Upvoted 👌 (Mana: 80/100) Liquid rewards.
This change has really hurt my plans really, I'm not one of renting cards a lot, mostly rather buy or get them myself. I was thinking of buying a 100 Pack of quest potions the other day before the ban and sadly I didnt.
I'm a new player since I only started the 9th this month and have/had plans to invest more in this game, just hoping not to be disappointed on the presale rules of Chaos Legion.
Thanks for doing giveaways :D
ign: @mirage-mage
I get it, but I still think the value is a bit off. I don't usually get 750Dec worth out of 5 chests. To high level players the extra 5 chests does not mean that much, it was really for lower players, but they also don't earn enough to be able to afford it. I worry that we are hurting newer players to fix multi-account bots. Instead maybe we should do a better job limiting the bots.
As a new player, I feel disapointed not being able to enjoy the old system for a longer period. However, I cannot blame them as I am sure it will benefit the DEC value.
I think this change will benefit the economy of the game.
I think no matter what DEC or Credit, the Quest potion price need to be adjusted.
In my opinion, Quest potion price ~ 2$ is more reasonable.
Based on some of the comments here it seems that this change has negatively impacted beginners, however it was a necessary bug fix. If not for the update the bots would have bought out all the cards.
@dick-bob
It's great way to control players from creating multiple accounts. I saw a comment from user the other day mention that daily quests were his/her ONLY way of earning in the game from their 50+ accounts (Yep, 50+). I guess it's kinda infuriating if you're a developer of the game to know that some people are cheesing it and not actually playing the game.
Quests potion abuse is truly a problem although they do help new players a lot. I hope they adjust the price though.
@xyr
For older players, and for the economy of the game as a whole, this is a good change. But for new players who do not have cards and funds to purchase them , this change is not very good.
As a new player who just started the game 6 days ago. Honestly, what entice me to play and invest a bit was the quest potion. I was flabbergasted by the update coz what happened to me is when I was about to pay for the very 1st 10 pcs of quest potion using credits that day. I received an error saying payment no longer available. Then after a few seconds a notification came in from discord and there I found out about the sad update. I was so upset that day and wanting to quite playing but my love for trading card games like Splinterlands won.
To answer your question above, on a newbie prospective, I hate what they did but I believe it's the right decision and it's mainly to stop the whales & dolphins to farm using bots and prevent them from transforming into a megalodon. I know that the developers and owners thought this through a couple of times and had to compromise for the betterment of the game in the long run. My only appeal is that I hope they would adjust the DEC price depending on the DEC market value like let's say;
(real-time value of DEC per 1$) + (250 DEC) = 1 Quest potion
I forgot the name of this crypto technology and I'm not sure if my thoughts make sense but that's my idea. My apologies for the long reply. I know this is supposedly to answer the question for a giveaway but this one is on me if I make it look like I'm ranting so peace everyone. I appreciate the opportunity and giveaways @robinsonr810.
My IGN: @kaylerfaye
I think they're starting to figure out that they made a mistake adding liquid DEC to the airdrop points. The decision to remove credit purchases from quest potions is only a small bandaid on a much bigger issue. The issue will repeat once CL comes out if they don't either admit their mistake and fix it, or give up on their idea that DEC should be pegged at 1000 = $1 and just take a page from monstermarket.io and let DEC float and charge what they want for market items in Federal Reserve brand toilet paper. @half-fast
I understand it. I dont like it as I can no longer benefit at the same level but SL was effectively giving out free money and cards. The price of the potions is meant to be inline with the potential value of the contents of the reward. With DEC and Card values sky rocketing, credit buys of the potion were basically a money printer. I would prefer not to have to convert my cash to DEC for purchases so I would rather they have the credit price track against DEC somehow but the backend math on that would be pretty complex I suppose.
@magooz
Thanks for the giveaway! I am not a fan of the change at all. If I had not been able to buy some quest potions on day 1 when I started playing, I don't think I would have stuck with the game. The starting rewards are so low that it takes a lot of time for a new account to gain traction without them. If they don't want bots to abuse the system then they should find a solution that only impacts bots.
@adulruna
It's a change that shows DEC is strong enough already. Before they needed fresh cash to run the game but it no longer seems necessary. That shows a self-sufficient game in my opinion. Hope I get lucky with the card.
I support it 💯. It will act as a Dec sink as well.
I think they should make the price of potion realistic when using DEC. Many joined the platform because they know it is play2earn and not paytowin site.
As a new player not willing to invest too much too fast, I4m a bit sad that I can't buy quest potions for credits, as it was less expensive for me. Nevertheless, I understand the reason of the restriction, as there was some abuse. I hope the team will look at DEC prices and lower the price in DEC soon.
PS Thanks for the giveaway!
It will be good in long term....
But yes many players are disappointed
I think it is the right move, but it still sucks because I am new so didn't buy the potions in time. @papahupod
Good move by the developers because the daily quest potions were being exploited by creating multiple accounts. The only thing I would say is that the new potion price should be around 200 dec and those dec should be burned like in dice.
I guess I'm dense. I keep forgetting there are even Quest potions out there.

@robinsonr810! I sent you a slice of $PIZZA on behalf of @moonthumb.
Did you know you can spend $PIZZA on games in the $Pizza Store? (5/10)
Hi Robinson,
thank you very much, the card arrived safely :o).
I think it need to make it more lottery and less assured profits
They've basically ruined Quest Potions and made them a completely useless short-term investment. I bought a ton of them with credits and they hardly ever pay off the money I spent on them, so you can imagine what's paying 7x more for them and never getting rewards worth what you spent.
There's only a chance that the rewards you get will eventually be worth a higher price, making it a possible long-term investment.
@litrydow
Ooh very double edged sword decision but had to be made. One way fight against bots abusing daily rewards and screwing economy on the other side are new players for whom it was nice way to make some extra value as fresh starter. I´m on the side of new wave players so it hurts pretty bad, but in long term I trust it was an hard and had to be made decision. Let´s shake it off and grind forward boys and girls(and hope for price adjustment)!! @fiiii
I think they should just ban bots outright, allow a maximum of 2/3 accs per IP or something like that (think PVU), and leave quest potions as they were, nowadays quests in bronze feel underwhelming.
I´t isn´t fun to struggle and win the required battles just for a single chest, which nowadays don´t even have cards in them lol (until they update reward set that is).
That´s my, @trenloco ´s opinion. And I´d love a centauri for that lol
In my opinion, the change is driven by the high value of DEC at the moment.
If we want the quest potions to only be available in DEC, we should adjust the cost to be the average DEC per reward chest x5, then we add a 10% on top.
The additional 10% means not everyone will gain, but it's still tempting enough to get for the 2k DEC drop or card.
Hi , Im @tsy197
Im confused, DEC was meant to peg at 0.001 (correct me if Im wrong), but devs keep making it inflate by creating DEC sinks.
For example, quest potions , the recent brawls 2.0
I dont know where this is headed
it is sad that it has been removed since i only bought once :(
I liked when there was an option between credits and dec...So people could invest cash easily
Not cool of them of removing the option of credits for Quest potions.
As a new player only playing for 3 weeks I think the change was needed to stop the bots/multiple accounts but only as a temporary solution. It hurts new players WAY more than it does the older ones.
The bigger problem is the bots/multiple accounts, no matter what they do with the price of the QPs, if they are profitable the bots/multiple accounts will use them. Sure make them more expensive but if they are even 5% profitable overall bots will exploit them.
They have to do something about the bots or the lower ranks will just be newbies like me fighting 100s of bot accounts.
The initial buy in of $10usd is cheap, if the bot does your dailies every day, even without QP, if you get lucky and get even 1 gold, or a few commons you make back your initial investment quite easily.
The QP made the problem more obvious and easier to exploit, but QPs aren't really the problem, its the bots, stop the bots and the real players could benefit from QPs even if they cost 1dec each.
The change is good but they probably need to balance the cost for purchasing potions using DEC.
@michlo
While it makes sense for the overall economy, but buying positions with DEC vs credits, especially, at the current price, is not ideal.
For me I don't think quest potion at 750 DEC is appealing anymore. I'm happy with 4 chest at silver I so I'll save those DEC for renting cards to climb the rank instead.
Thanks for the giveaway :)
IGN: @sixpsy
I only joined recently but on my second day I got a 52 DEC daily quest chest and if that had been boosted with a potion thats worth how many cents, I would've had a lot more DEC now. Although, still probably better for the economy that they made it this way.
ign: @grappha
Definitely for the economy, I support the decision
@ysf21
if change make game better it ok for me too
plz reprice potion as fast as possible
@sinnis
I think the change is necessary as it is breaking the game's economy. Since DEC is off pegged, by using credit to purchase the quest potion is a steal. @koition
I think it is probably a necessary step to prohibit arbitrage actions, but I am kinda sad about it. Now the Potion is just way too expensive :(
@jdike
lol, never noticed them so never used those :D did i miss a lot? yes. do i miss missing a lot? no :D cheers! ign: dusi.
I understand the need to do so and think it will benefit the game in the long run. Just kickumyself for not buying 100 of them a week ago
