Hello Hive

Enjoying your weekend! let me help add more value to it by giving you all a battle to be excited about. In this Battle Mage Secrets edition, I will show you the power of gladiator monsters battling in the explosive weaponry ruleset. Also, the battle you are about to watch is one from my last brawl participation. Want to know how I did it? sit tight while I explain some mind-blowing strategies that could help your next battle. As I always do, the announcement post link can be found here. This is to enable participants to master the do's and don'ts of the weekly event.

Now, let me put you through on what explosive weaponry is all about.

Ruleset: Explosive Weaponry

On the Explosive Weaponry battlefield, all monsters battle with the blast ability. This means that players may choose to work with monsters with the reflection shield ability or involve martyr ability monsters and let them die easily. This is the case of the two opponents in the presented battle. Health-wise, the explosive weaponry ruleset is better fought with monsters that have big health as the small health monsters could even die before it gets to their turn. Explosive weaponry ruleset when fought with monsters with a reflection shield ability, the ability can help prevent the blast from getting through the other monsters but the question is, how long can the front-row monster last for the back-line team to continue enjoying the reflection shield ability? The answer can be seen in the presented battle. Don't get twisted, both opponent strategies do work, it's a matter of the endurance of the monsters used

Strategic Team selection and Positioning

We may have been given the explosive weaponry ruleset to use for this week's event but notwithstanding, the selection of the team was done putting all three rulesets the game brought into due consideration. Here is how the teams were selected and the reasons for their selection.

HELIOS MATRIARCH
The Soul Bound summoner Matriarch made my choice for the battle. This summoner offers +1 health to all friendly teams and gives room for the inclusion of a gladiator monster in the battle. Since this was a brawl battle which enables the use of gladiator monsters, using this summoner further increases the one of gladiator monsters that can be used. Gladiators are known for their bloodlust abilities which makes them a big threat on the battlefield, having more of them can help secure a win for the team.

AGOR LONGTAIL
At least with the help of a very large mana cap, we can select monsters with high mana costs. This taunt ability monster is enriched with health, armor, and some great abilities that can increase its endurance as a defense monster. It also has the void armor ability which means enemies must pass through armor before getting to affect its health. It's a flying monster that increases the chances of melee and ranged opponents missing it when targeted. With its taunt ability, the other team members can't be attacked unless it's eliminated, although scattered-shot monsters will not obey that principle.

FUNGUS FLINGER

VENARI MARKSRAT

These two monsters made the team because of their martyr ability. The idea is not for them to fight because when it comes to that they aren't that good but what their death brings to the team is of high importance. Notice that these two monsters were positioned close to the monsters considered the most threatening. The intention is to get these monsters' stats increased upon the death of the martyr. Also, it can be noticed that the lower-health martyr monster was positioned to die first to enjoy its martyr benefits twice upon resurrection.

QUORA TOWERSHEAD
The gladiator Quora is the most beneficiary of the martyr's death. Quora was selected for its numerous abilities. It heals itself and has the bloodlust ability, and it's a dual-attack monster. Each time the monster with the martyr ability close to it dies, it gains an increment in its stat. This is also the same process when it eliminates its target, making it stronger and more chaotic to the enemy.

OSHUUR CONSTANTIA

Constantia is a magic monster and one with the resurrection ability. Its inclusiveness in this battle was to raise the first monster to be eliminated which in this was targeted at the martyr ability ones. This, however, went as planned. Its weapon didn't cause much damage as the enemy's silence ability monster affected it but it played its role nicely.

BERTROL GOBSON

It would be wrong to overlook the importance and role played by this monster. As a member of the gladiator pack, it is also quite dangerous like others. With the opportunity ability, it was able to target the weak monsters on the enemy's team. This gave the team another angle of attack other than just from the front.
