New Legendary Summoner: LIFE - The Possibilities

Legendary Life Summoner!

In the latest town hall this sneak peak of artwork was dropped... For the unaware the first Legendary Chaos Legion Summoner out of the 6 airdrops will be...LIFE! From initial glance I thought they were showing the EARTH Summoner due to all the green shown in the background...but nope Nate said it was LIFE.
So whilst the artwork was shown this was only the Lore artwork, No card artwork and especially no stats were shown so id leads me onto this post and the possibilities of what this Summoner could bring to the LIFE team.

Speculation:

As its a Legendary Summoner and following trends id expect there to be 3 abilities this card will bring. Just based on the picture which looks very much like either a magic or revival themed:

  1. Immunity
  2. Void Armour
  3. +1 HP

So lets dive into why I picked these and note that these are my own thoughts / speculation off the back of 1 image. Feel free to discuss your ideas and leave a comment below with your thoughts.

IMMUNITY

Firstly - Immunity, with Poison being a big topic in recent weeks following Waka Spiritblade and the controversy that brought on what people thought would be an OP card or a pay to win summoner, what better way to answer the critics than to give out Immunity to all monsters... Possible?? Not a Chance??

I think its possible, It would answer like I said above a number of critics and would be a solid counter to Waka! That being said would it also annoy the whales that brought into Waka and the cost that came with that...Maybe but they intended Waka to be expensive because of the rarity and the fact it was maxed out. Plus Immunity doesn’t just negate poison it will also negate other negative effects like Demoralize, Headwinds, Silence, Rust, Slow and any other newly introduced counters in the future.

Your LIFE Deck would now have a shield around it against all negative effects somewhat like a sphere of protection against the elements, which is what I first saw when I first lay eyes on this picture, a Magic / Health protect.

At the end of the day its a Legendary Summoner its an Airdrop card and its the 1st one from Chaos in this form, it needs to set a precedent for the remaining air drop cards that these are the most powerful, you will want your packs to be in with a chance of snapping up one of these day one so lets entice them to do that with a very strong ability for the team.

VOID ARMOUR

Whilst its not VOID, VOID Armour is still a really useful ability, it means that magic needs to get through the monsters armour instead of hitting straight at the HP. It would tie into my theory of an overall protect summoner. Tie this card in a card which gives protect to the team and monster which continues to heal armour and you have a deck which again is hard to kill.

The Life deck would really find this useful and Magic is a real weakness of this deck at this time. A lot of focus went onto ranged monsters to help tie in with General Sloan but that unfortunately left gaps for exploit from not only Magic but also Melee. This is also due to the fact the LIFE deck in rather a slow deck in contrast, Whilst you have your Speed with Blue, Melee with Red and your Magic with Green.

I personally feel this ability is more likely than Immunity but having both of them together would go with my theme of the sphere of protection.

+1 Health Points

This one I don’t think is too much of a stretch though I maybe getting swept away by my idea of the protection so a +1 HP to all monsters o help the survivability of the team.
With Mother Khala now moving into Wild could this mean an opening for a +1 HP Summoner for the LIFE team...Possibly! And when you look a few of the new Chaos Monsters for LIFE their HP compared to a number of other decks do seem on the weaker side, Especially when coming up against magic.

So this would tie in nicely with the other 2 speculated abilities, it would be an all round protector for the team and allow the team to lay down the damage whilst not being wiped out instantly due to their weak nature.

There really isn’t much more to say about +1 HP.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Like mentioend above this Summoner has to set the bar for the rest. The team are going to want to kick start a frenzy on players snapping up the remaining packs available to get their hands on what will be some of the most powerful summoners since Yodin.

I really feel from my initial thoughts that Summoner will be a protector for the LIFE team and can only speculate on some of the possible abilities based on some of the obvious weaknesses LIFE currently has.
