The Idea of this series is to help inexperienced players like myself learn to play the game through watching me make right and wrong decisions and plays. I aim to get better at the game while creating a space for newbies to learn and more experienced players share there knowledge come along for the ride.
Eventually I would like to venture into different kinds of Splinterlands content as well!

You might want to take a harder look at Living Lava for your tank when you play the Fire splinter instead of Goblin Mech. There are a couple of reasons why. First of all, it costs three less which often will work out to another monster you can add to the fight. This is especially good when you can add one that will start taking out some of the back row (opportunity, snipe, sneak). With three extra mana, you can add Serpentine Spy to your lineup which can frequently knock out a smaller monster or two before it gets taken out. Also, the Living Lava has Shield, which is especially good in low mana battles because melee and ranged monsters with 1 attack cannot hit it...just my two cents.
