This weeks share your battle card is Deeplurker so lets dive in.

Chaos Legion has been unleashed on the Splinterlands and if you are anything like me you're still trying to find the best teams and lineups to get the job done. One of the strongest teams Ive found is definately the water splinter. And one of the strongest cards to come out of the chaos legion has been the Deeplurker. As you can see in the graphic below this card hits like a truck right out of the gate with 3 melee damage. I currently have my Deeplurker at a level 2 which gives the added benefit of 3 speed. These two attributes mixed with his opportunity ability makes the Deeplurker a force to be reckoned with.

Now that you've seen what kind of power the Deeplurker wields lets see how I used him in this battle.

Battles Modifiers: Close Range and Spreading Fury with a mana cap of 28.

My line up by position:

  1. Serpent of Eld - level 1
  2. Demented Shark - level 2
  3. Furious Chicken - level 2
  4. Deeplurker - level 2
  5. Feasting Seaweed - level 1
  6. Hardy Stonefish - level 3 (Gold Foil)

Lets talk about the team and the reasoning behind my positioning. I summoned my monsters using Kelya Frendul which adds +1 speeed and armor to all my monsters. I then placed my Serpent of Eld in the first position due to his dodge ability which makes him very hard to hit after he gets enraged. I then placed my Demented Shark in the second position which has inspire adding +1 melee to all my melee monsters. I then used my Furious chicken in the third position as an opportunity blocker. I then put my Deeplurker in the forth position, which at this point will be the most protected position, so he can deal heavy damage whilst being protected from most attacks until later in the battle. I then placed my Feasting Seaweed in the fifth position as a second oppertunity attacker. Finally I placed the Hardy Stonefish in the last position as a Sneak attack blocker.

My opponent had a very similer team to mine but he was relying too much on healers instead of increased damage and speed like my team. My team smashed through his healer and repair due to the opportunity ability of deeplurker and feasting seaweed. After these two monster were removed the rest of the battle was a blood bath. My team only losing my opportunity and sneak blockers. I find this lineup to be a very good team for these types of battles.

In conclusion the Deeplurker with its starting speed and melee damage could arguably be the best common water card. And when paired with Kelya and the Demented Shark he is an unstoppable force.
