Noctury's splinterlands experience #1 [de/en]

Intro

It has been already a while since @legendaryunicorn delegated me a set of B cards to be able to compete in the AB fray for my guild "Legendary Hatchlings". So i guess now is a good point to share some experience from the last brawl.
@legendaryunicorn hat schon eine geraume Zeit mir eine Set B Karten delegiert, damit ich für unsere Gilde "Legendary Hatchlings" den AB Fray sinnvoll besetzten kann. Jetzt ist es an der Zeit meine Erfahrungen vom letzten Brawl mit euch zu teilen.

Match 1

Well the opponent fled. Still a win. I guess it is common in the AB fray, that from time to time your enemy will have not the appropiate cards and thus has to flee the match. This time it were only 2 of 6.
Nicht sehr spannend, aber ein Sieg ist ein Sieg. Im AB Fray fliehen häufig Gegner, vermutlich in den Gold Frays ebenso. Aber das kommt ja nicht ganz ungelegen. Diesmal sind nur zwei Gegner von 6 geflohen.

Match 2

Only 18 mana and water available lead me to take Alric with Spinback Turtle in the front. Two magic monsters. The powerful "Mischievous Mermaid" and Medusa (slow but healthier). Alfredo as cheap card to take the damage in the last row.
Ein 18 Mana match und Alric wählbar, matche mit die Wahl einfach. Spinback Turtle als Blocker. Mischievous Mermaid als stärkster Damage Dealer zusammen mit Medusa für den Magie Schaden. Alfredo sollte günstig den Rücken schützen.

Despite his self healing power "Haunted Spirit" did not last long. But my mermaid was already hit.

Auch die Selbstheilung konnte "Haunted Spirit" nicht vor einem frühen Ende bewahren. Aber meine Mermaid wurde schon von Jester angesniped.

As expected my mermaid got the second hit from jester.

Wie erwartet machte Jester kurz danach der Mermaid den Garaus.

Dark Enchantress did of course not last long in the front row.

Dark Enchantress hielt natürlich nicht lange in der ersten Reihe stand.

Well and a archer in the first row is in most rulesets history soon.

Bogenschützen in der ersten Reihe sind in den meisten Rulesets Kanonenfutter.

Match 3

44 Mana and earthquake - easy choice -> dragon. Dragons are not only cool, but they also can fly and are very fast. Also it was time to use a gladiator. I used "Relenor Cleaver" because of the high shield, reach and high damage.
Ein Erdbeben-Match mit 44 Mana - eine leichte Wahl. Dragon, Drachen sind cool, können fliegen und sind schnell. Als Gladiator habe ich "Relenor Cleaver" eingesetzt, weil er ein hohes Schild hat, viel Schaden macht und aus der zweiten Reihe angreifen kann.

Pit Ogre did before any of my monsters was hit.

Pit Ogre starb bevor eines meiner Monster getroffen wurde.

Same happened to Cerberus.

Cerberus ereilte das gleiche Schicksal.

Now Chromatic Dragon took "1" hit before Giant Roc got down.

Chromatic Dragon in der ersten Reihe wurde einmal getroffen, bevor auch Giant Roc ausgeschaltet war.

Goblin Shaman was taken down by one hit from the gladiator,

Mein Gladiator richtete Goblin Shaman mit einem sauberen Hit.

Well Enchanted Pixie is nice shooting from behind, but for sure no tank.

Enchanted Pixie hält es natürlich vorne nicht lange aus.

Cocatrice just survived until now because of flying, but now had to meet its creator.

Cocatrice hatte es nur solange ausgehalten wegen seinen Flugfähigkeit, aber nun war seine Zeit gekommen.

Match 4

The setup this match look very similar like the last one with two exceptions. I put Ice Giant in the front row. He should stand some damage there and also deliver some hits thanks to enrage. Since i had some mana left i switched Enchanted Pixie for Magi Sphinx for more damage.
Eine ähnliche Aufstellung wie letztes mal mit zwei Ausnahmen. Ice Giant als Meat Shield dank Shield und mit der Möglichkeit zurückzuschlagen dank Enrage. Da ich nun ein paar Mana übrig hatte, habe ich Enchanted Pixie gegen Magi Sphinx getauscht für etwas mehr Schaden.

The first one to die was again Pit Ogre, well he is slow.

Zuerst musste wieder der lahme Pit Ogre dran glauben.

Chimney Wallstop is tough, but he could not stand long.

Chimney Wallstop hält einiges aus, aber auch er konnte nicht lange durchhalten.

Kobold Miner is just one hit.

Kobold Miner braucht nur einen Schlag.

Shaman we had already before.

Den Schamanen hatten wir bereits.

The Sphinx was the next victim of Cleaver.

Die Sphinx fiel auch wieder dem Cleaver zum Opfer.

Archer in the first row ...

Bogenschützen in der ersten Reihe hatten wir ebenso.

Match 5

This time i anticipated the enemy to take a magic deck, so i put Clay Golem in the first row, Divine Healer as support and Captain Katie in third place to take off the back row. Well it was not a magic deck, but the choice was okay.
Ich habe mit einem Magiedeck gerechnet und deswegen Clay Golem nach vorne gesetzt mit Divine Healer als Support und Captain Katie als Sniper, um weiter hinten aufzuräumen. Der Gegner hatte kein Magie Deck, es hat aber gepasst.

Rexxie died first, but could bite my Golem. Good to have healing.

Rexxie stirbt als erster, schafft es aber noch meinen Golem zu verletzteb. Gut, dass ich Heiler im Team habe.

Same with Stone Golem, my Clay Golem could only last because of healing.

Das gleiche gilt für den Stone Golem und wieder verdankt der Clay Golem sein Leben der Heilung.

Finally Katie takes down the enemy Magi.

Endlich schaltet Katie den gegnerischen Magi aus.

History repeats for Flesh Golem.

Flesh Golem blüht das Schicksal seiner Golem Kollegen.

Well it is Golem clash time. Clay Golem took is turn, but he resisted quite a while.

Dann hat es doch noch Clay Golem getroffen, aber er hat lange durchgehalten.

Stonesplitter Ocre was already hit hard and a easy victim.

Stonesplitter Ocre war schon schwer verwundet und insofern ein leichtes Opfer.

And Swamp Thing alone is just a thing.

Swamp Thing alleine hat natürlich nichts zu bieten.

Conclusion / Schluss

I really like to use the AB cards. It is a very different battle to a pure CL battle with its own tactic. Of course the gladiator cards add their own spice.
Ich spiele wirklich gerne mit AB Karten. Die Kämpfe unterscheiden sich sehr von CL Kämpfen und haben ihre eigene Strategie. Die Gladiatoren können natürlich noch die Strategie maßgeblich beeinflussen.
