The reality is, as more players either hand their accounts over to skilled players or rely on botting, particularly in the Wild League, it becomes increasingly challenging to remain competitive. It’s tempting to follow that path, especially as it could free up time and potentially push my rank higher. But here’s the dilemma: if I outsource my gameplay, would I still feel the same connection to the game and its ecosystem? I fear that it might disconnect me from the community and, even more importantly, the economic sustainability of the platform.
I’ve poured a lot into this game—over 50,000 battles fought—and I’m proud to say that more than half of those were me, actively playing and strategizing. Sure, a good chunk involved bots, but I still feel invested. The big question now is: do I have another 50,000 battles in me?
It’s something I’ll be reflecting on over the next few months. While Splinterlands has been a significant part of my gaming life, I want to ensure that I’m still having fun and not just grinding for the sake of it. Who knows what the future holds, but for now, I’ll keep pushing forward and see where this adventure takes me!
