Hi friends, I'm still moving up the ranking ladder, waiting for the Guilds Brawl round to end, so I decided to take part in the Splinterlands team's new weekly Share Your Battle Challenge and try out different combos with Deeplurker.
The high cost of 6 mana justifies it completely - its great attack, speed, and 6 health points, combined with its ability to attack weak enemy monsters makes it quite dangerous, and I admit that it has helped me out a lot this week.
My Deeplurker is now upgraded to level 2 :)
So, in one of today's battles, since my opponent was using mages a lot, I decided to try out a BORTUS summoner combo that lowers magic attacks and Deeplurker as a rear attacker.
My overall force structure looked like this:
- Sea Monster, with great health and a powerful attack in the first position;
- Wave Runner to strengthen the attack on the enemy "tank" in the second position;
- Sniping Narghwal in third, to attack the enemy's long-range positions and "protect" the Deeplurker for a couple of turns if my first two cards get out of play quickly;
- actually, Deeplurker - star of this match is right in the middle :)
- Axemaster with a powerful double attack in the fifth position;
- Djinn Oshannus completes the combo with great health (to hold off enemy snipers and Sneak monsters) and a powerful "on the seeker" attack.
The enemy put up an excellent line-up, with a strong Unicorn Mustang in first position, a Goblin Psychic healing it, and a Mycelic Slipspawn distraction, but my long-range attack cards and Deeplurker did just fine. Especially the last one, going to first position and getting it out :)
Not the least of which was the Explosive Weaponry rule, which gives all cards the Blast ability, and of course Deeplurker and his attack was pretty damn good!
