Card Summary
Crystal Jaguar is a rarely used card. It has a lot of potential, that is often hard to see. Being around 1$ on the market, it is a nice card to add to your collection, if you want to have some extra flexibility in deck building for cheap. The usual life combos can make it quite deadly if used correctly.

What do the stats say about it?
The table tells us that the first upgraded thing is agility, so the jaguar specs into landing quick attacks first. At the next upgrade is where the jaguar starts shining. The increase Health makes it a more viable low mana tank. Despite its low attack it is still a versatile card. The high HP, Armor and 1 Melee damage can make it a headache for the enemy to deal with, usually denying access to the backline. Later the developed Thorns ability makes it known that jaguar is here to cause your enemy a headache.
Rulesets
Advantageous :
Back to Basics : It has an easier job filling its Tank function, because backline is easier to protect.
Little Leauge : Relatively very annoying to deal with, without some heavy hitters.
Disadvantageous :
Melee Mayhem : Will just get destroyed really fast, although it still does do its job.
Silenced Summoners : I would argue silenced summoners is bad for this card, because it relies on survivability.
Crystal Jaguar vs Pelacor Conjurer
Both cards are meant to fill a role of a tank. While Conjurer is just meant to take the damage, while hopefully evading some shots, Jaguar is there to fight back. In addition Jaguar has +1 Armor which makes it more durable than had it had +1 Health. Armor affects battle greatly. We can see the price difference between the 2 cards where Jaguar costs 5-8x times than Pelacor Conjurer. However Conjurers strenght lies within its 2 mana cost, which makes it a good option for playing a more agressive style. However I would still go with Crystal Jaguar, seeing as its damage and high health pool mean it can withstand enough damage to be healed the next round, if played correctly.
Battle Utility - Cheap Tank
I found this Battle in the database to prove the effectivness of Jaguar as a Cheap Tank. As we can see the jaguar relies a lot on the healing, and the extra damage allows it to be a viable damage dealer. Life usually focuses on survivability meaning that Jaguar has more than one option to rely on. You could switch out Divine Healer for Venari Crystalsmith, or had the opponent not had magic damage, Armorsmith would have worked too (of course accounting for the mana change).
Lore
Crystal Jaguars evaded a historic destruction by sleeping deep in the caves, and after they came out of the caves, they faced no competition and could grow and feed to their hearts desire. Now they serve the Life faction.
nice look into the card man. Im looking forward to getting thorns on it because I haven't found much use for it yet but maybe ill consider throwing it in a low mana battle next time.
