Very crude idea here but hear me out.

At certain epochs, accumulated grains are deposited into a fund basket that is used to by physical real estate, like land in parts of the world with potential for increase in value, example, Land in Nigeria is a gold mine, buy acres of land, resell in 5 years and split the returns to everyone who contributed grain. Just thinking out loud.
