I have been trying out new things and new strategies in battle. This time, I decided to try out a life archon.

Incessant Sage was my pick. It gives an extra shield to all my units and I thought to use this to my advantage.

The mana cap was 41, so it allowed me to explore a bit with picking my units.
As I like to do, I put the neutral unit, New Beluroc Aegis in the first position.
This unit is my go-to unit for that position a lot of times because of its health and armor. It has 3 armors combined with a health of 5. If you bring in my archon's ability to add 1 more armor, it takes this unit's armor to 4.
New Beluroc Aegis has the taunt ability, so it draws a lot of attacks to itself. This is the perfect distraction. Enemy units spend their turns attacking it while my other units become free to launch their own attacks. By the time enemy units are done attacking this unit, my other units have dealt enough damage.
The human, Great bear druid was in my second position. This was a really strategic placement. He has two attack types, magic and melee. This was why I put in the second position. From that position, it kept on doing magic attacks. When it eventually occupied the first position after my New Beluroc Aegis was eliminated, it began to attack with both Melee and magic attacks.
This was really helpful in my win.
Also, Great bear druid has 6 healths. this guarantees it a longer time in battle as it gets attacked. That's the kind of health fitting for a unit occupying the front row.
In the third battle position, I placed Sherringham Logger. This life monster was particularly interesting to me. It is a melee unit with power of 2. This can be lethal for the opposing units.
You might be wondering why I didn't put it in the front row since it's a melee monster. The reason is because of it's sneak ability. This ability makes it attack the enemy team from the back. Sherringham Logger has health and armor enough to withstand attack to an extent.
Next was Lady Amara in fourth position. I needed another magic unit in my side, so I went for her. I wanted to have more than one magic unit that would directly target the health of enemy units with armor.
Her health is one thing that really attracted me. She has a health stat of 6. One disadvantage though was her speed which is 1. As a result, some of her attacks were dodged by enemy units with superior speed. Her mana cost was 6. Given the mana cap for this battle, she seemed like a great choice.
As is my tradition, I like to put a ranged unit at the last position in my squad. This time, I went with the life monster, Hungry Ulund. It has a good attack power of 2, which can cause problems for the opponents. It has a shield to protect its 3 health. My archon adds an extra shield which is even more protection for it.
My opponent went for the earth archon, Aurelia. The line up consisted of:
Dread Tafarian
---
Mad Gearhead
SpellMonger
Vicious Quilliun
Lunaki Howler
Grand Consul Minion
The battle started fierce. As expected, New Beluroc Aegis attracted attacks from the enemy units, but then my Sherringham Logger used one strike to eliminate my opponent's unit, Grand Consul Minion.

Dread Tafarian gave me a hard time because it was difficult to eliminate. It has the heal ability, so its life kept on replenishing despite continuous coordinated attacks from my units.
Next, New Beluroc Aegis got eliminated and Great bear druid occupied the first position.
However, after so many attacks back and forth, Dread Tafarian was eliminated. I learnt the importance of speed in this battle because most of Hungry Ulund's attack on Dead Tafarian were missed.
I have to state that Sherringham Logger's sneak ability was really helpful in this battle.
Eventually my remaining three unit combined to wipe out all the enemy units.
It was a close victory. One I learnt a lot from.
