Splinterlands beginner

So yesterday I got on this kick of what would be my next money making scheme. I've tried stock trading, crypto trading, video captioning, and many different "so called" money making apps. Crypto in general had taken a bit of a dive in the last 2 months , but it was really starting make a comeback in the last few weeks. So I thought I would try to find a way to enhance my returns from crypto. I went to reddit and discovered there are a whole bunch of games where you could passively earn crypto while playing. Of course some of them it would be like pulling teeth trying to earn even a couple of bucks and others may be a scam. So I came across a few that people seemed to have positive feedback on.

I tried a few games but nothing seemed to resonate with me. Then I came across Splinterlands. I love CCG/TCG. I also see that some of these cards are worth $1000's of dollars. And the game just really starting gaining steam this year! They even have their own crypto which you can earn by playing.

So as I mentioned in my previous post, I just started playing yesterday. I found out because of the influx of new players, the servers were being overhauled and ranked matches were not available. I started by downloading the app off of the google play store. (Yep, android user here). I came to realize that the app is not yet optimized for the game and there are parts of the menus and options that just don't show/ work on the app. So you really have to start playing on a web browser, preferably on PC.

So I moved on to my laptop and downloaded the game. Now I have all the menus, the complete tutorial, and so forth. (Oxford comma life)! I played a few practice games and started to understand a bit how the game works. But how do I make money? I next learned that I have to invest $10 to buy a spellbook and start earning crypto tokens in the game. This is the minimum you need to invest to start earning. The spellbook unlocks ranked matches, earning by playing games, buying and trading cards and airdrops. (Airdrops are done by the game everyday based on the the amount of their crypto you have staked, what cards you own, and a few other factors). There is just so much to learn about this game and I have just started to scratch the surface. I will list a few things that might help you get started.

2. Spend $10 to get the spellbook. You can't play the full game and earn until you do this.

3. Download, Install and start using the "Brave browser." You can earn passive crypto using this browser and it's optimized for the game. https://brave.com/download/
