In a matter of just a couple of weeks we can currently see the prices of Chaos cards falling by more than 25% on average. This makes it likely an all time low in price to purchase a max set of cards. The big question then is this the bottom and a good time to be investing in additional Chaos cards?

Over on monstermarket.io the actual cards that are present in the market allows for a more accurate calculation of the overall price.
Here monstermarket is estimating close to $3600 for a max set of Chaos cards. A slightly higher number than what Splintercards had estimated.
The way I have been playing just managing Silver league is good enough and currently a set of Chaos for Silver league will only set me back around $800.
Overall Card Prices Falling
Its difficult to determine if card prices have hit a bottom, but we have some hints to guide us on determining a price bottom. For instance the reward for playing the game mainly is in SPS. The token has currently drop to an all time low of $0.027. This is far from the beginning of SPS when it was over $1 each.
It then makes sense as to why card prices are falling. This is because the rewards yield is dropping based on SPS prices.
Conclusions
For now I am personally saving a few more HBD before I go in and purchase more cards. There are some deals to be had but since DEC price has not been holding up in price makes it difficult to pull the trigger on card prices.
I am also looking into gold foil cards now since watching during events there are some who have bulk amount of gold foils. There is a lot of SPS rewards on the table as gold foil events tend to have more vacancy spots than the rest of events. This would be ideal to be building deeper gold foil collection.

I have some DEC saved up and it's a good thing that the prices are low. I do plan on buying some cards later this week and also open up some packs. In a way, I wonder if things can go down further because the CL packs are cheaper due to the holiday sale. If so, then we just need to buy before the holiday sale ends.

yes, prices are falling fast. This will be the right time to buy, I definitely plan to max my summoners (which are still low) by a few levels and then buy a few cards that seem to have discounted prices :)
