What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!
I hope all of you are doing well in your life and also enjoying this beautiful day with your loved ones. For splinterlands players who play this game on a daily basis like me, I guess you are all focused on playing the ranked section right now. Well because we have already passed halfway through this ongoing season and only around 5 days remain for this ranked season to meet its end. In these 5 days, the last 2 or 3 days will be super hard to play, especially if you are playing in higher leagues like Diamond or Champion, because around this time of every season, almost all the OG players get super active and you may lose more than you win sometimes. So, I think it better to reach whatever your goal is, either to enter a certain league tier or secure a place in the champion leaderboard as soon as possible and now talking about me, I have also yet to teach my goal in this season which is of course to enter Champion league as usual. Right now I am still playing at the Diamond I tier with a current trophy rating of 3,440 and since the last day, I have lost many matches and praying to perform better from now on. Let's see how it goes.
Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, I am going to showcase another cool Rebellion card with you all and as you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the mesmerizing THUNDERHOOF NOMAD. So if you are interested, let’s jump right in without any further ado.
Thunderhoof Nomad
THUNDERHOOF NOMAD is a monster card that comes under the Rebellion edition and this is a Reward card that was launched just recently into the game. This monster belongs to the Earth element and it costs only 3 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily fit this card in your battle lineup when playing small to medium mana limit matches. Its attack type is magic and it is a rare type of card, which means you will need a total of 115 BCXs of cards to be able to upgrade it to max level. Apart from a decent magic attack, and speed with a large amount of health, it also possesses 3 amazing abilities at max level which I am going to talk about below. Now, let us take a look at its league-wise stats and abilities below to find out more.
BRONZE
At level 2, this card possesses 1 magic attack at 2 speed with 3 health and also gets the Reflection Shield ability since its initial level. With the help of this ability, this card will be protected from Blast, Thorns, Return Fire and Magic Reflect damages. So even at its lowest level, this card can be very useful against these types of damages.
SILVER
As this card reaches level 4, it receives the same 1 magic attack at 2 speed with 3 health and at this level, it receives a new ability called Strengthen. With the help of this newly added ability, this mobster will increase the maximum health of every friendly monster by +1.
GOLD
Upon reaching Level 6, this monster finally gets an increased 2 magic attack power at 2 speed with 4 health. But it does not get any new ability at this level but worry not, cause the increased magic attack will be very useful to kill down enemy cards faster.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this card to its max level of 8, it possesses 2 magic attack at 3 speed with 4 health and also gets a new ability at its max level called - Triage. With the help of this new ability, this monster can heal one of the backline friendly wounded monsters in your lineup. So you now get a healer attacker who defends itself from indirect attacks as well.
Battle Link
BATTLE STAT
This time, I got an interesting match where the mana limit was a medium 27. There were Every element except Fire allowed to be chosen in this match and there were also 3 rulesets applied in this match - Holy Protection (every monster gets the Divine Shield ability), Blood and Sunder (all monsters gain Corrosive Ward) and Lost Legendaries (No legendary monsters can be used). After analyzing all the rules and limitations of this match, I finally decided to use Magic Monsters to counter my opponent and started building my lineup accordingly.
For this match, I chose the Earth summoner Obsidian and at the front position of my lineup, I chose the Xenith Monk followed by the Thunderhoof Nomad, Venari Marksrat, Regal Peryton, Goblin Psychic and the Acid Shooter at the end position. When both the lineups were revealed, I found out that my opponent had used the Kelya Frendul summoner and at his front position, he used the Diemonshark followed by Merdaali Guardian, Uraeus, Deeplurker and Angelic Mandarin at the last position.
Anyway, as the battle begins, all the first attacks from both sides' monsters got neutralized because of their Divine Shield ability. The Deeplurker killed down my Xenith Monk at first round, followed by my Acid Shooter who also applied poison on that evil Deeplurker and my Marksrat took away the shield from the Diemonshark using its Shatter. My Nomad attacked next and unlocked the Enrage ability of Diemonshark, but in the second round it hot saved from Diemon’s huge attack thanks to the Divine shield. But sadly, the Deeplurker killed it down. My Regal Peryton then killed down the Diemon at the third round followed by the enemy Uraeus who killed down my Acid Shooter and the Deeplurker again who killed my Marksrat this time. But gladly, the Regal Peryton received more stats after this from the marksrat’s Martyr ability and somehow I easily killed down the rest enemy cards and won this match. My Nomad is still not max level but its performance was good in this match, so I will try to upgrade it soon.
