Splinterlands | DRYBONE MEGALODON is the gigantic Defence card

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and enjoying the day with your family and friends. If you are a serious Splinterlands player, then you must be playing this game seriously on a daily basis and earning SPS and Glint points while growing your reward card collection. Take a quick look now at the ongoing ranked season in the game, only 5 days remaining for the current ranked season to meet its end, so I hope all of you have started playing the ranked battles more seriously and pushing your trophy rating along the way. Whatever your goals are for this season, either to reach a certain league tier and collect those shiny Reward chests or Hold a glorious position in the Champion League, I hope you reach there quickly. Now talking about my own stat this season, I have successfully reached the Champion League this season and right now resting at Champ III with a trophy rating of 3,720. My goal being reached, I will now just play cautiously and enough not to waste any battle energy and let’s see how it goes for me till the season ends.

Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this Splinterlands post, as today I am about to showcase another amazing monster card with you all. As you have already read the Title and Thumbnail, today I will be talking about the DRYBONE MEGALODON. So if you play Splinterlands and are interested, let’s take a deep dive without any further ado!

DRYBONE MEGALODON

DRYBONE MEGALODON is a monster type card that falls under the Rebellion edition this monster was introduced in the game with the launch of the latest Reward card set. This monster belongs to the Fire element and its attack type is melee. It costs 8 mana to be used in battles, so you may use this monster in high mana-limit battles. It is a rare type of card, so you will need a total of 115 BCXs of cards to upgrade this monster to the maximum level. Now apart from a good melee attack at good with decent speed and a large combo of armour + health, this monster also comes with 3 awesome useful abilities which I am going to talk about later. Let us now take a further inspection of the league-wise stats and abilities of this monster to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 2, this monster possesses 4 melee attack power at 2 speed with 3 armour and 6 health. It also gets the Flank ability since its initial level with which, when this monster is in the first position, the monster in the second position gains Reach ability.

SILVER

When this monster gets upgraded to level 4, its stats gets a decent increment as it now displays 4 melee attack at 3 speed with 3 armour and 7 health. Not only that, but it also gets a new ability at this level called Retaliate. With this newly added ability, this monster now can counterattack enemy melee attacks with a 50% chance even if defeated.

GOLD

As you upgrade this beast monster to level 6, it receives a further increased stats of 4 melee attack power at 4 speed with 3 armour and 9 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Though does not get any new abilities at this level, its increased speed and health will help as a great defence card in battles.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 8, it then possesses the same 4 melee attack power at 4 speed with an increased 4 armour and 10 health. Gladly it also receives a new ability called Thorns at its max level, with which it can now send 2 damage back to melee attackers whenever it gets attacked.

BATTLE STAT

This time I received a large 55 mana limit battle where there were 4 elements allowed to choose from this battles as - Fire, Water, Death and Dragon. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this match such as - Rise Of The Commons (only common and rare monsters can be used in this match), Blood and Sunder (all units have corrosive ward ability) and Aim True (all units gain true strike and will never miss). Now after looking at all these rules and limits, I decided to use only melee monsters at the front and rest and attackers in Ranged and Magic monsters at the back to stay safe and focus on taking down the front position card. As so thought, I started building my lineup accordingly.

For this match, first of all, I received the Drybone Megalodon at the front position followed by the Arkemis the Bear, Tinderblock, Molten Ash Golem, Technowizologist and the Ash Mirage at the end position, anyway, when both the lineups were revealed later in the match, I saw that my opponent has used the legendary Death Water dual summoner Cryptic and at his front he selected the Coastal Sentry followed by the Queen of crows, Anasth Soothsayer, Deeplurker, Daigendark Hunter and the Helheim Demon at his end position.

As the battle began, my Ash mirage targeted the enemy Queen and my other monster focused on the Sentry and gladly at the very first round, my Arkemis the Bear took it down and the Queen came at front position. But then sadly, the Deeplurker and Queen attacked my Megalodon and killed it down. Thanks to Megalodon who endured multiple big attacks before going down, that's how I was successful killing his first defence and wounding the next till now. Anyway, as the battle continued the Deeplurker killed my Ash Mirage, followed by my Arkemis the Beat who killed down the enemy Queen. Next, my Technowiz killed The enemy unit Deeplurker and followed by my Tinderlock who took down the Soothsayer. Next, my Molten Ash Golem Easily killed down the Helheim demon and the only enemy monster alive was the poor Hunter, but it also got taken care of by my Arkemis soon after and thus, I won another amazing match and earned some more SPS add Glint points along my way.
