Overview

Today I brought a Brawl battle, where I will try to fight for my Guild, because in a Brawl battle all the Guilds are sending their own troops in order to achieve victory for their Guild and earn some hefty merit points to open some amazing Gladius packs. πŸ˜‡

My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

image.png

RulesetDescription
Healed OutUnits and Archons lose all abilities that restore health.
Broken ArrowsYou can not summon Ranged attack units.
Equal OpportunityAll units have the Opportunity ability.

The mana cap for my next battle was 35, which is not that much especially in a battle where the rulesets are so important. The Healed Out ruleset will eliminate all the abilities that are able to restore the Health of the monsters, which is not that big of a deal and quite easy to ignore. 😊

The most important ruleset is the Equal Opportunity one, because it will change the target order of all the Melee and Magic attack monsters on the battlefield, because with the Opportunity ability all the monsters will target the lowest Health monster first. This ruleset will allow me to build a team around it, because it will be much easier to predict where the enemy monsters will attack. πŸ˜‰

The Broken Arrows ruleset as the name suggest will eliminate all the Ranged attack monsters from the available monster pool, so only the Melee and Magic attack monsters will be available to choose from. πŸ˜‡

My lineup

image.png
The Obsidian cost four mana and her power is to increase the Magic attack of all of her friendly monsters by one. The Magic attack type is one of the strongest in the game, because it will hit their target at 100% and it will ignore the enemy Armors completely. 😌
The Pelacor Mercenary is an excellent all around tank, because he has nice amount of Speed and Melee attack damage combined with good amount of Health. Sadly he has a small weakness not having any defensive abilities to protect himself against his enemies, so he doesn't really like focus damage. 😊

The Regal Peryton cost only five mana, so it is quite easy to use him. He is a Magic attack monster, so he will benefit a lot from my Obsidian. He also has high Speed, so he will be able to dodge quite a lot of incoming Melee and Ranged attacks and that is why I used him in the second position in my lineup. πŸ˜‡
Quora Towershead is my all time favorite monster, because she has two different kind of attack. Her first attack is Melee, which she can use with her Opportunity ability and her second is Magic, which will be increase by my Obsidian. She is my favorite, because she has the Bloodlust ability, so whenever she kills her target she will increase all of her stats by one permanently. Sadly the Healed Out ruleset removes her ability to Heal herself, but at least as long as she has quite high Health she is not going to be the main target. 😁

image.png
The Disintegrator is always a nice monster to play with especially in rulesets where the main role is for the Melee attack such as this one, because he has the Demoralize ability, which means that he will decrease the Melee attack of the enemy monsters by one. πŸ€—
The Ironwing Juggernaut is a new monster and he also has the Weary ability, so I will try to use him for few attacks, because he will switch himself off. He cost three mana and that is why he has +2 Melee attack instead of one. 😎

image.png
The Fungus Spawn cost only zero mana, which is amazing, because in a lower mana battles like this one I can fill up all the spots in my lineup for free. The Equal Opportunity ruleset will make her the perfect target with his low Health and he also be able to attack from the last position as well as long as he survives the first attacks. 😎

My opponent brought the Kretch Tallevor who is a Dragon Summoner and he cost only three mana, which is crazy cheap, but in exchange he doesn't give any abilities to any of the monster on the battlefield. His only advantage is that he would be able to pick monsters from the Dragon Splinter as well and from his choosen Splinter. πŸ˜‰

In the first round my two Magic attack monsters quickly took advantage of their Opportunity ability and killed their Katrelba Gobson from the middle of the enemy backline, which allowed my Quora to activate her Bloodlust ability and increase all of her stats by one. My opponent were only be able to kill our Fungus Spawn, which was my decoy with his low Health.

In the second round Quora attacked first again thanks to her huge Speed and she killed the enemy Disintegrator with ease, which further boosted her powers by one. Just before the second round finished I also lost my Pelacor Mercenary, because he lost so much Health that he became the main target. πŸ˜‡

In the third round my team almost managed to kill their Carnage Titan and suprisingly my Ironwing Juggernaut had to finish the job and kill him.

In the fourth round the enemy Djinn Chwala almost killed my Regal Peryton, but his huge Speed or his Flying ability saved him against his attack and in the following round my super speedy Quora killed him easily, which allowed me to win this battle. πŸ€—

Battle Result

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to try to direct where the enemy attacks will go and in the mean time use my Quora Towershed to deal a lot of damage and if she is lucky activate her Bloodlust ability. Her huge Health will protect her through the entire battle, because none of the enemy monsters with the Opportunity ability will be able to target her. 😊
