This week I brought a Brawl battle, where I got two quite dangerous ruleset, so I need to think quite differently than usual and to make sure I will take advantage of these rulesets instead of being a victim of them. π

| Ruleset | Description |
|---|---|
| Explosive Weaponry | All units have the Blast ability. |
| Shades of Grey | Only Neutral units may be used. |
| Noxious Fumes | All units start the battle Poisoned. |
The mana cap was 50, which is quite good to pick few key and high mana cap monsters for this battle, but the Shades of Grey ruleset will only allow the use of Neutral monsters, so the available monster pool will be quite thin. π
The Explosive Weaponry ruleset is one of my favorite, because it will give the Blast ability to all the monsters on the battlefield, so all of them will be able to deal damage (half of their original damage) to the monsters next to their target, so careful positioning of the monsters are essential. π
The Noxious Fumes ruleset will Poison all the monsters on the battlefield at the ebeginning of the battle, so they will take two damage a the start of every round started from the second one, so if you want to ignore that it is good idea to bring few monsters with high Health's or with abilities like Immunity, Cleanse, or Heal. π€

Possibilus the Wise

Possibilus the Wise cost six mana, which is usually not cheap, but in this battle it is okay. He has amazing traits, because it will increase the Health of all of his friendly monsters by two. He also gives the Reach ability to them as well, which means that the Melee monster in the second position will be able to attack from there. His third trait is to give the Trample ability to his monsters, which means if a Melee attack monster manage to kill their target they will get a free attack to the monster behind them. π

Arkemis the Bear

Arkemis the Bear cost a lot of mana, but it is okay, because he is just a too perfect tank not to be used in a high mana cap battles like this one. He has huge amount of Health and the Protect ability, which means that he will increase all the Armor on his monsters by two as long as he is alive. π

Drybone Raider

The Drybone Raider is a monster that is worth upgrading, because it will increase his Ranged attack to two, so it will be equal with his Melee attack. He has the Double Strike ability, which means that he is able to attack twice from the first position or in a battle, when the rulesets give him Sneak or the Opportunity ability, but in my case my Possibilus the Wise gave him the Reach ability to be able to attack from the second position. π€

Venari Marksrat

The Venari Marksrat is a must have in almost any battle, not because he is so powerful, but because he has the Martyr ability, so when he dies he will increase all the stats of the monsters adjacent to him. Luckily the Noxious Fumes ruleset will make sure that he dies fairly quick, so he will be able to activate his ability to boost his team mates when he dies. π

Supply Runner

The Supply Runner cost only four mana and he doesn't have too much ability on its own (at least in this level), so I took advantage of his two Ranged attack damage, which is quite good compared to his mana cost. π

Xenith Monk

I used the Xenith Monk only because he has the self Heal ability, so if my opponent doesn't bring any Sneak attack monster it is almost guaranteed that he will be the last man standing on the battlefield against the Noxious Fumes rules, because all the monsters will take two damage at the beginning of every round, but my Monk will be able to heal himself up all the time. He is a Melee attacker, so he can not attack fro mthe last position, but he has a special tactic to win this battle. π

My opponent brought the Helios Matriarch who is a Dragon Summoner and her power is to give +1 Speed to all of her friendly monsters. She also has the ability to bring one additional Gladiator monster, which is always nice. π
In the first round all of my monsters started attacking their Gargoya Lion in the first position and they were indirectly dealing damage against the enemy Disintegrator as well thanks to their Blast ability. My team had more than enough damage to kill their tank and even their Disintegrator when he fell into their first position. The Double Strike and the Trample ability allowed my Raider to attack at least five times in one round when he kills a monsters, which is crazy! π€
Just before the first round ended and after the kill of their Disintegrator my Marksrat killed their Gargoya Devil and passively killed their Ooze as well who had only one Health.
In the second round all the remaining monsters on the battlefield took two damage from the Noxious Fumes ruleset, but that wasn't enough to kill any monster on the battlefield and my monsters were quick and strong enough to kill the last two monster from the enemy team, which allowed me to win this battle for me. π
