What is a Tactics Summoner? - Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge

in Splinterlands4 months ago

Welcome to my Splinterlands Community Engagement Entry post!

The topic for this week's community engagement is about Tactic Summoners.

If you're unsure what a Tactic Summoner is, read until the end. I'll also show an example of how to use a Tactic Summoner.

The meaning of "tactic" is similar to "strategy." Unlike ordinary summoners whose strategy revolves around positioning and selecting units, Tactic Summoners allow you to create an additional tactic or strategy beyond what you already use in battle.

Here are the Tactic Summoners of Splinterlands. These summoners not only provide buffs to all their units but can also grant additional buffs to specific units after you've set up your lineup.

There are two types of Tactic Summoners: one is the single-element summoner, which provides a tactical buff to a few of your units (except for the Dragon Summoner Akane, which can also be considered dual-element), and the other type is the dual-element summoner, which not only provides a tactical buff but also offers a general buff.

My favorite among them is Eternal Tofu, but for my example today, I’ll use Underboss Fabino, another powerful Tactic Summoner.

To give you an example: after setting up your lineup and clicking the battle button, a TACTIC STAGE screen will appear where you can choose the tactic to use. In the case of Underboss Fabino, you can choose between granting +2 Melee Attack to two of your melee attack units or poisoning one of your opponent's units.

The poison here doesn’t mean granting the Poison ability to one of your units. Instead, it means poisoning one of your enemy’s units.

Here’s an example of a battle where I used the +2 Melee Attack and granted it to two of my melee attack units.

When the battle starts, the buff will immediately take effect. Notice how the melee attack power of my two units increased?

And here’s another example where I used the poison tactic on one of my opponent’s units.

Because of these summoners, we can create more effective battle strategies that give us a higher chance of winning the battle.

I hope you liked my brief explanation about Tactic Summoners, and I hope you learned something!

If you also want to enjoy playing Splinterlands, you can click my banner with the referral link. You can try the game in free-to-play mode first, but if you want to earn while playing, you need to buy a Spellbook which costs only $10. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this game because I’ve been playing it for over 2 years and I still haven’t gotten tired of it.

I see a lot of Eternal Tofu users. Haven't encountered much of Fabino just yet
