This is the second season I've finished since I started playing Modern again. In the first season, I was only halfway through, but I couldn't reach the desired rank, finishing at Gold 1. This time, however, I managed to go even further and reach Diamond 2.

Modern End of Season Rating

As I haven't rented a significant amount of SPS, nor do I have many in staking, my winnings aren't all that impressive. Even so, the final prize pool in Glint was around 60000, leaving me satisfied.

End of Season Rewards

This allowed me to open a good number of chests to acquire various prizes.

I started with 200 Minor Chests, which gave me a significant amount of rare cards, as well as plenty of energy for more battles. Then there were another 40 Major Chests, where I acquired larger quantities of the aforementioned rewards, as well as many merits, which allowed me to open 4 Gladius packs.

Unfortunately, nothing out of the ordinary came. But the good news is that I managed to upgrade two cards. The Isgald Vorst, which is now level 6 and has acquired the ability Piercing, so that when it attacks its target that has a lower amount of armor than its damage, the rest will be applied to its life.

And the second card was Orella Abbadon, which reached level 5 and now no longer misses any attacks, thanks to the ability True Strike.

As for the Soulbound, I put my first Gold Foil card at maximum level. The Ferox Defender, which gains 1 additional attack point.

I'm working every day to improve the cards in these two collections, which together can beat the others, and even give me a certain advantage over those who don't have them. This is because they don't expect them on the battlefield, so they can take them by surprise.

The new season brings with it yet another significant change to the game. The arrival of the Wild Pass, a permit that you must purchase if you want to play in Wild mode. Its cost varies according to the method of payment, currently ranging from 0.90 to 2 dollars per season. This is yet another measure taken to try and curb the advance of bots, so that the vast majority of active players are real people and not machines.

I don't particularly like the idea, but it's too early to say anything, as I haven't tested it and I don't know if it will bring any real benefit to the game's ecosystem. The fact is, such a measure could harm long-time players, discouraging them from continuing to play.

I think the ideal would be to create a third mode in which card collections are changed daily, so that everyone benefits. And Wild would then be a place where only bots would be present, but with much lower rewards than the other modes, where only real people can play.

Esta é a segunda temporada encerrada, desde que eu voltei a jogar no modo Moderno. Na primeira, eu havia chegado na metade, não conseguindo alcançar o rank pretendido, finalizando no Ouro 1. Porém dessa vez, consegui ir além e chegar em um patamar ainda maior, chegando ao Diamante 2.

Como não aluguei uma quantidade relevante de SPS, nem tenho muitos em staking, meus ganhos não são lá aquelas coisas. Mesmo assim, a premiação final em Glint, ficou em torno dos 60000, me deixando satisfeito.

Isso me permitiu abrir uma boa quantidade de baús, para adquirir diversas premiações.

Comecei com 200 Minor, o que deu uma quantidade relevante de cartas raras, além de bastante energia para batalhar mais. Depois, mais 40 Major Chests, onde adquiri maiores quantidades das recompensas citadas anteriormente, além de muitos méritos, que me permitiram abrir 4 pacotes Gladius.

Infelizmente, não veio nada fora do comum. Mas a boa notícia, é que consegui realizar o upgrade de duas cartas. O Isgald Vorst, que agora está nível 6 e adquiriu a habilidade Piercing, fazendo com que, quando ele ataca seu alvo que possui uma quantidade de armadura inferior ao seu dano, o restante será aplicado sobre a vida deste.

E a segunda carta, foi o Orella Abbadon, que chegou ao nível 5 e agora não erra mais nenhum ataque, graças a habilidade True Strike.

Quanto as Soulbound, coloquei minha primeira carta Gold Foil no nível máximo. O Ferox Defender, que ganha 1 ponto de ataque adicional.

Estou diariamente em busca de melhorar as cartas dessas duas coleções, que juntas podem bater de frente contra as demais, e até me dar certa vantagem sobre aqueles que não as tem. Isso se deve ao fato de não as esperarem no campo de batalha, e assim pegá-los de surpresa.

A temporada que se inicia agora, traz consigo mais uma mudança relevante dentro do jogo. A chegada do Wild Pass, uma permissão que você deve adquirir caso queira jogar no modo Wild. O seu custo varia de acordo com a forma de pagamento, variando atualmente entre 0.90 e 2 dólares por temporada. Essa é mais uma medida tomada para tentar frear o avanço dos bots, e assim fazer com que a grande maioria dos jogadores ativos, sejam pessoas reais e não máquinas.

Eu particularmente não gosto da ideia, porém ainda é cedo para dizer algo, pois não testei e não sei se isso trará algum benefício real para o ecossistema do jogo. Fato é, que tal medida pode prejudicar os jogadores de longa data, desencorajando-os a continuarem jogando.

Acredito que o ideal, seria criar um terceiro modo em que as coleções de cartas sejam alteradas diariamente, fazendo com que todos se beneficiem. E o Wild então, seria um lugar onde apenas bots estariam presentes, porém com recompensas bem inferiores aos outros modos, onde apenas pessoas reais podem jogar.
