Since I started this game through Youtubers who gave advice on which deck to build and which summoner to spam for easy wins, I know I will always go again Mylor. While I realize this card is OP on some level, I just can't stop feeling this card has been overused. Its strongest ability is its deadliest weakness as it's easily counter by magic and range attacks.
This is also why I have been rediscovering the OP-ness of Life deck against most other elements including this smug-looking guy. Life deck is so versatile on all fronts. Against water deck, it has Void Armor card with high damage. Against fire deck, it has Taunt to soak damage. Against of course Mylor, it has magic damage & decent range damage. Moreover, the latest Venari Crystalsmith offers decent heal with great speed and range damage. The bane of all Mylor decks.
All this combo meant the downfall of Mylor in my battle of the day below.
So let's break down the downfall of Mylor below.
My Opponent's Mistakes
- 1st Mistake: My opponent completely ignored Earth Quake rule and no cards with fly ability were selected.
- 2nd Mistake: Too relied on the tank for damage while having a squishy backline
My Winning Strategy
- My 1st Winning Strategy: Having a balance of damage types between magic, physical, and little range damage which mitigate the effect of reducing magic damage from my opponent.
- My 2nd Winning Strategy: Has at least 1 card with flying ability to avoid earthquake damage which is key to winning this match.
- My 3rd Winning Strategy: Have Shieldbearer soak all damage while my Crystalsmith keeps it tanking longer.
- Most Important Winning Strategy: Summoner and Djinn Renova buff all cards' HP to soak earthquake damage while I see my opponent jump down the cliff, LOL.
You can see from above why Life deck with the latest Chaos Legion is becoming more and more my go-to against any opponent. It's so flexible now you can basically counter most meta right now.
Plus, Life cards' rentals are way cheaper than other Splinters now. Give it a try you will be surprised. The cards that are must-have are Djinn Renova & Venari Crystalsmith. These are 2 cards that make Life so OP now.
