Next minute RNGesus smiles upon my opponent as his Regal Peryton dodges 8 attacks in a row. More that triple it's hp worth of damage to win the game. A truly remarkable effort. I would be curious to run the numbers and see how unlucky this actually was given the speed difference. I probably feel more hard done by that I should but this mechanic always felt to favour luck more than strategy to me.

I feel your pain. I too would oftentimes found myself losing matches that I should have won because of my opponents' monsters would keep dodging my monsters' attacks. Worse still, some of those monsters have lower speed than mine.
I can't watch because I am on the computer. I am surprised it doesn't auto-detect the device I open on!
Anyway, I guessI got to go buy up all the Regal Peryton's on the market to appease the RNG gods...

That 5 speed just seems so strong. The problem is also that by the time I'm dealing with that monster I'm into the tail end of the battle and have lower speed units left which doesn't help either.
Maybe they need to implement something where it normalizes the RNG a little bit so that if you have a 20% chance to dodge you don't get instances of 5 dodges in a row
