Most of the summoners that we play with are rare. When we get them up to level 5 we can pair them with level 6 commons, level 5 rares, level 4 epics and level 3 legendary monsters.
At this point in my series I'm planning to integrate cards from Rebellion with cards from Chaos Legion, because I've addressed those groups separately in the past.
I think these are some of the most impactful life monsters to start leveling up if you happen to have some level 5 rare summoners to pair them with. These upgrades will also work if you have level 3 legendary summoners, level 4 epic summoners or level 6 common summoners.
At level 5 Pelacor Arbalest picks up the flying ability, and it's about time. We can see the wings in the artwork.
At level 4 Djinn Renova picks up the triage ability.
At level 3 Jared picks up the piercing ability. While Jared is a defensive liability, he's also an offensive beast.
At level 3 Commander Goff picks up the divine shield ability.
When picking out new cards to level up, it's important to consider whether you'll be playing in modern or wild format. All of the cards that I discussed in today's post are legal in modern. If you start to level these cards up remember that they will revert to a lower level if you play them with a rare summoner at level 1, 2, 3 or 4 or even a level 2 legendary summoner.
I would love to hear what some of your favorite cards are to level up. I'll keep pointing out the ones I can. Another great place to find them is the cards that you get beat by on the battlefield.
