Your English is fine! I was wondering the exact same thing. It is not clear if these are:
- New games on any blockchain (not sure what the upside is for Splinterlands here)
- New games on Hive (Splinterlands gets indirect benefit)
- Newish games on Splinterlands.com (Obvious upside for Splinterlands)
WMG is a massive organization, many many times the size of Splinterlands. I can't imagine that it's Splinterlands who is dictating any terms here.
If I had to guess, the Waka Flocka thing was probably arranged as a pilot program through WMG. Waka's label is part of their group. The partnership has probably been in the works for a while, and Splinterlands could only announce after the Waka thing went live. If this sale for the Waka card generates revenue for WMG (or at least proves traction), then the partnership will likely get more attention and funding.
really good questions which I hope will soon be answered!
But even just the exposure to WMG will send everything splinterlands related (DEC/SPS) flying for the next days. But hope this will also lead to a more long term sustainable benefits
That'd be cool! I dunno if it's enough to counter the overall market downturns in response to shaky geopolitical stuff though. I expect the Waka Flocka sale (starts tomorrow!) to do more for VOUCHER and SPS prices than this announcement.
Another material partnership (vs an announcement with vague details) will probably do more!
