Another Week, Another Pack Opening Giveaway!

Let's check out the pack opening!:

Insidious Warlock is actually quite a nice Epic when you level him to 2, where he gains +1 Magic, and when paired with Delwyn, can start launching 9 Magic Damage every other turn for 5 Mana. This is a pretty Death heavy lineup, which I, being a Death main, always love to see :D

Card Tips & Tricks

Insidious Warlock | A Slow Heavy Hitter

Normal Foil, Epic, Death Monster

One of the cheapest Epics, Recharge is kind of an annoying ability, but trust me and try pairing this card with Delwyn at Level 2, for a 9 Magic Damage Attack at 5 Mana cost. This guy takes Death Mage to a whole different level.

As you can see, he also gains Blind later on, which isn't particularly powerful on a Recharge card, unfortunately, due to his 'slow' attacks. He also happens to be pretty slow on top of charge, which hurts him even more.

Still, he hits like a truck when he does.

Carrion Shade | Death's 1 Mana Flyer

Normal Foil, Common, Death Monster

Carrion Shade is deceptively good in Earthquake and is a surprisingly great card to use as Sneak bait, with its Flying ability at level 3, and 1 mana cost, it has surprisingly good mileage for a 1 mana card.

Scavo Chemist | Fire's Cleansing Support

Normal Foil, Common, Fire Monster

Scavo Chemist is a game changer for the Fire Splinter, changing it from one of, if not the worst Splinter in Poison ruleset, to one of the best, low mana or high mana, for surviving the Poison ruleset indefinitely. Thats right: This gives Fire one of its best situations for a Sustain focused team.

Note: I totally recommend getting a Gold Foil of this card, 2 Mana Gold Foils are very easy to play, an when leveled, this card is sort of like a Kelp Initiate for Fire, along with Venari Heatsmith.

Flying Squid | Should be Jumping Squid

Normal Foil, Common, Water Monster

Jumping Squid is a great card, but I'm going to give new players a hint for Flying Squid that may boost your win rate: This card is great, you want to use him whenever the Mana is available.

But only if you can also play Deeplurker: Deeplurker should go on your team always before Flying Squid. This is simply because Deeplurker is just that good, it is NOT any detriment to Flying Squid's power.

Also, check out that Backfire later on in his levels! Jeez.

Riftwing | Death's Anti Yodin? (Maybe?)

Normal Foil, Common, Death Monster

Riftwing is a lovely little backfire card, and one of my favorite Death Commons out of the entire set: That's right, I like Riftwing more than Silent Sha-vi, sorry Snakey boi. He's not the best counter to Yodin, but it's what we got from CL, so we just gotta deal. (Still hoping for a Return Fire Death card >:D)

This is because Riftwing is just so versatile in so many situations, being effective in Earthquake, Poison, Lost Magic, Equalizer, No Melee, Little League and much much more...

This card, consider getting a Gold Foil of, for Bronze, a 1 BCX will suffice. For Silver and Gold, always aim for at least a Level 5, where he gains Backfire.
