RE: The Dirty Rental Market Not-So-Secret in Splinterlands...

in Splinterlands2 years ago (edited)

Great breakdown mate, the bots are here to stay and due to their automation there place in the food chain can be exploited.

Win trading is a legitimate issue but apart from that I have no issue with them existing on the bottom of the food chain.

Removal of the bots will reduce card rental values and prices.

In a future post, I'll have an audit of this win trading bot farm. Aggy was not happy with this bot farm getting so much SPS, but it was an extremely predictable outcome. It made no sense to release the governance token as a battle reward until this exploit was addressed. One of the big problems is that they think they are dealing with multiple botnets, when it is actually one large organization.

Until this problem is fixed, we're giving a win trading bot farm the potential to wield a lot of power and eventually a majority of it. They are in Bronze-Gold Leagues and it is a massive issue that compromises the ecosystem.

This is a decentralized game and ecosystem with transparency, this means that there can be a decentralized audit and solution(s).

The issue of pro-bot vs. ambivalent bot vs. anti-bot sentiment has to be tabled until this particular win trading bot farm is not able to operate like this.
