RE: SPT IS MOONING: UPVOTES INCOMING!

in Splinterlands3 years ago

I expected SPT to go up a little as we got closer to the start of the Splintershards airdrop, but nothing like this. Do you think it will maintain this price through the whole "Year of the Airdrop" or do you see it falling back once everyone gets used to the daily SPS rain?

Sort:

if you are just looking at SPT for SPS airdropped points, then buying SPT is costly choice then DEC.
For 5 Hive , you will get 1000 DEC and 1000 points
For 5 Hive (price of .002) you will get 2500 SPT and equal to 2500 *.25 = 625 points.

Although it was cheaper until a couple of days ago!

That's true, but if I buy DEC, then a year from now I will still have 1000 DEC getting airdropped on. But if I buy SPT I can continue delegate or curate with it and have much more at the end of a year getting that sweet airdrop.

I think the answer to that question will be decided on the value of the airdropped SPS tokens. If SPS is being sold for more then expected I suspect we see an increase in SPT price. If SPS tanks its likely we see SPT drop back down to its past sales price. If the DEVS at Splinterlands give the token an in game use case I suspect SPT to increase drastically.

I keep looking at the Axie governance token and can't imagine SPS will tank unless the whole market melts down. I agree, an in game use like leveling up a new guild building ( I'm still waiting for the announcement of Guild Casinos and Guild Banks) will drive the price of SPT through the roof.
