I think it's an interesting idea with a less than ideal execution. It certainly helps attract players/"investors" from other ecosystems (BAT in this case), but it somewhat alienates players who don't have it. I was considering joining the Brave tournaments, it'd be easy enough to buy BAT to hold and get in, but the cost of transferring it (gas) was too high to make it worthwhile.

If gas was cheaper, then maybe I'd feel different. Let's say they chose Polygon (Matic) that'd be a lot easier/cheaper to get in on.
