Splinterlands - Rulesets Guide - Part 2

Last week I wrote about the rulesets: Aim True, Aimless, Amplify and Armored Up. This week I'm going to review the following rulesets: Back to Basics, Broken Arrows, Close Range and Earthquake!

Na semana passada escrevi sobre os conjuntos de regras: Mira Verdadeira, Sem mira, Amplificar e Blindado. Nesta semana, revisarei os seguintes conjuntos de regras: De volta ao básico, Flechas quebradas, Corpo a corpo e Terremoto!

Ruleset: All monsters lose their abilities.

Best Summoners: Yodin Zaku, Byzantine Kitty, Immortalis, Grandmaster Rathe. Unless your opponent picks Ilthain or Lir Deepswimer, you will probably win the battle with Yodin in medium/high mana battle.

Strategy: after you picked your summoner, now you want to look for monsters that doesn't have much or any abilities! For example: Nerissa Tridawn, Kulu Swimhunter and Magi of Chaos (Good cards). Have in mind that you are always paying mana for these abilities.
On the other hand avoid monsters like Chaos Dragon, Lira the Dark, Adelade Brightwing etc.

Possible lineups

• Yodin + Ranged monsters (Probably the strongest one!)

• Obsidian/Immortalis/Kelya + monsters with magic attack type such as Regal Peryton, Runemancer Florre, Djinn Oshannus

• In low mana: Lorna Shine/Owster Rotwell are the best ones! Lorna divine shield slow the enemy down since they need at least 2 hits to kill a monster. And Owster is great, since many players focus with monsters with magic attack type.

Best Summoners: Mylor Crowling (the opponent will have to mix between melee and magic attack type, so Thorns will probably be useful!), Owster Rotwell, Thaddius Brood, Grandmaster, all of them counters magic, lastly Obsidian, since you want to boost your mages in the backline!

Strategy: you want to build a solid strategy mixing melee+magic attack type and also countering both of them!

Examples:

• Mylor (Thorns) + Failed Summoner (Anti Mages)

• Owster Rotwell/Thaddius Brood (Anti Mages) + Cursed Windeku (Thorns)

• Grandmaster Rathe (Anti Mages) + Pelacor Conjurer or Shieldbearer (Shield ability countering melee)

Best monsters: Pelacor Conjurer, Failed Summoner, Shieldbearer, Queen Mycelia, Unicorn Mustang, Goblin Psychic and Djinn Muirat.

Conjunto de regras: Monstros com ataque à distância não podem ser usados ​​(inclui monstros com 2 tipos de ataque, como War Chaang).

Ruleset: Monsters with ranged attacks are allowed to attack in the first position.

Best Summoners: Ilthain, Yodin Zaku, Lir Deepswimmer and Quix The Devious. Since it is very likely to face ranged monsters, you want either to boost them or counter them.

Strategy: Although I mentioned summoners based on ranged attack, it is alright to ignore the close range ruleset and build a standard lineup!

Best monsters: the best one is definetely Cornealus! He can be a great tank! Although the example below is in Wild format, you can see how powerful he can be!

Ruleset: All non-flying monsters take 2 physical damage at the end of every turn. Note: Snared monsters are considered non-flying. Since the damage given is physical, it can be reduced to 1 if the monster has the shield ability.

Best Summoners: Brighton Bloom (obviously), Lorna Shine (Life and Dragon element is great in this ruleset!) and Vera Salacia (although nobody uses her 🤣)

Best abilities: Flying, Snare and Protect.

Best monsters: Thunderbird, Void Dragon, Uriel The Purifier, Adelade Brightwing, Lira the Dark.

Conjunto de regras: Todos os monstros não voadores sofrem 2 de dano físico no final de cada turno. Nota: Monstros com armadilha são considerados não voadores. Como o dano causado é físico, ele pode ser reduzido a 1 se o monstro tiver a habilidade de escudo.
