[ES/EN] Community Engagement Challenge - Newbies Guide to Tournaments

I haven't entered a tournament in the last few months but I can give you some simple tips to get started and improve in Splinterlands.

Tengo un tiempo sin entrar a algún torneo en los últimos meses pero que les puedo dar algunos consejos sencillos para empezar y mejorar en Splinterlands.

I will take into account 2 types of new players in Splinterlands: players who have just started in the game and are interested in Tournaments and players who have already been in Splinterlands for some time and believe they already have the experience to play Tournaments.

Tomare en cuenta a 2 tipos de jugadores nuevos en Splinterlands los jugadores que apenas empezaron en el juego y les llama la atención Tournaments y los jugadores que ya tienen algo de tiempo en Splinterlands y creen ya tener la experiencia para jugar Tournaments.

I will start by giving some basic notions of Tournaments. It is a game mode where you can win prizes relatively quickly and where, unlike Rankeds where they are only divided into formats separated by the age of the sets in 2 categories Modern and Wild, in Tournaments they are also divided into card levels by leagues, Foil types, and specific sets that you can filter with all these parameters.

Empezare dando unas nociones básicas de Tournaments es un modo de juego donde se puede ganar premios de manera relativamente rápido y donde a diferencias de Rankeds donde solo se dividen en formatos separados por la antigüedad de los sets en 2 categorías Modern y Wild en Tournaments se dividen además en niveles de tarjetas por ligas, tipos de Foil, y sets específicos que puedes filtrar con todos estos parámetros.

To start with my advice:

• Before starting or entering a Tournament make sure you have all the cards you are going to need because you will face players who have the cards at the highest possible levels.

• Antes de empezar o entrar a un Tournaments asegúrate de todas las tarjetas que vas a necesitar porque enfrentaras a jugadores que las tarjetas a los niveles máximo posible.

• Know how to choose tournaments because a Modern player who has no cards or experience in Wild can clash with a player who will have more options for his fights, so it is more advisable to play in Modern Tournaments.

• Saber escoger los torneos porque un jugador de Modern que no tiene tarjetas ni experiencias en Wild puede chocar con un jugador que tendrá mas opciones para sus combates por lo que es más recomendable jugar en Tournaments de Modern.

• When choosing leagues to pick the maximum card levels, I recommend playing at maximum levels to learn by taking hits, but it is best to play in low level leagues to learn how the skills and their combinations work and move up the leagues when you already know how they work and what skills the cards have at the allowed levels.

• Al escoger las ligas para escoger los niveles de tarjetas máximos yo recomiendo jugar en niveles máximo para aprender recibiendo golpes, pero lo mejor es jugar en ligas de niveles bajos para saber cómo funcionan las habilidades y sus combinaciones e ir subiendo de ligas cuando ya sabes como funcionan y que habilidades tienen las tarjetas en los niveles permitidos.

• Knowing that you can and will lose despite having Rewards in a high position on the leaderboard, you may not have the experience or luck to win all the fights, which is something that can happen to all players, even the best may not be lucky or use the best strategy and their opponent may use a completely different one than what they thought and win.

• Saber que puedes y vas a perder a pesar de tener Rewards en mucha posición de la tabla de ganadores puedes no tener la experiencias o suerte para ganar todos los combates que es algo que le puede pasar a todos los jugadores hasta el mejor puede no tener suerte o usar la mejor estrategia y su oponente usar una completamente diferente a lo que pensaba y ganar.

• Try to learn as much as possible and enjoy the experience in Tournaments you can find more difficult battles and they will teach you strategies that you can use in other battles.

• Intenta aprender lo mas posible y disfruta la experiencia en Tournaments puede encontrar batallas más difíciles y que te enseñaran estrategias que puede usar en otras batallas que puede usar en otras batallas.

• One of the most useful tips I can give you is that before playing each battle while you are in the Rounds phase you can look up each opponent's last battles and if they are recent battles you can find out what type of equipment they use in each type of battle or what card they have for the Tournaments.
