My advice would be to check out every bit of info one can here on hive, theres plenty of ways to make extra DEC on splinterlands. @draicor

1. Besides the obvious 20-30 battles per day at 100% absorption until 75%-80%.
2. Rent cheap cards to get higher in the rankings for the end of season rewards.
3. Do your daily quests.
4. Participate on the art and share your battle contests every week.
5. Have SPT and DEC on the account to get the SPS airdrop.
6. Be on the look up for giveaways and other contests here on the hive.
7. Flipping cards.
   Those are the ones that I've used so far.
