The Ruleset

image.png

  • Rulesets - Deflection Field
  • Mana Cap - 37
  • Active Elements - image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Immortalis

  • This battled had every simple rules, no point playing any damaging abilities as Deflection Field was active and the only splinter that was excluded was Death so still plenty to pick from
  • So in my case I went with Earth element and Immortalis as he is great in almost any battle in my opinion
1st Position: Mycelic Infantry

  • Mycelic Infantry was my main tanks for this battle
  • Main reason I like Mycelic Infantry here a lot is his Shield ability
  • Combined with Void from my summoner Mycelic Infantry was going to take half of any damage he would face
  • This kind of Mycelic Infantry setup is one of my favorites to play as it is just so strong against any kind of team my enemies might bring to the battle
  • Shield - 50% less damage (rounded up) from physical attacks or 0 damage from physical attacks of 1 power
2nd Position: Regal Peryton

  • Regal Peryton was basically my second tank if my Mycelic Infantry should fall
  • Regal Peryton makes a great low mana tank as he has 6 hp which form 5 mana is good enough and he also has Flying + super high speed which makes him great at dodging
  • Regal Peryton would also counter my enemy playing Snipe monsters as he would be the first non melee monster in this lineup blocking my up coming magic monsters
  • Also as he is a magic monster he was able to attack the entire time from the second position
  • Flying - +25% chance to evade physical attacks. No effect if the attacker also has Flying. Immune to Earthquake
3rd Position: Uraeus

  • Uraeus was the last monster I picked into my team
  • I mainly picked him because I only had 3 mana left and for that he is good enough to earn a spot in my team
  • Sneak - Targets the enemy unit in the last position
4th Position: Mushroom Seer

  • Next up in line is my plan for countering my enemy playing magic based comp
  • Mushroom Seer himself is not the strongest as for 5 mana you do not get a ton of stats
  • But what you do get is his Silence ability which I really like and is super great to countering magic teams
  • Silence - -1 magic power to all enemy units
5th Position: Wood Nymph

  • Wood Nymph was my first healer for this team
  • For 4 mana you do not get a lot of stats but you do get the amazing Tank Heal ability
  • Tank Heal - Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position
6th Position: Goblin Psychic

  • And for last but not least was Goblin Psychic as my second healer
  • Now even tho Goblin Psychic costs 2 mana more than Wood Nymph you do get half decent stats and also the Affliction ability to counter my enemy playing any healers
  • The reason for two healers was that because my Mycelic Infantry was going to take only half damage I wanted him to stay alive the entire fight so I needed to out heal my enemies damage and two healers hopefully will to that
  • Tank Heal - Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position
  • Affliction - 50% chance to apply Afflicted after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed

Starting board

image.png

  • For a second after seeing the starting board I knew the battle was over as Yodin Zaku is just too strong in my opinion but then I realized that Deflection Field was active and Blast was useless and was going to deal 0 damage
  • This in mind my hopes were back up and I felt like if not 100% win then at least a super strong shot at it
  • But my predictions could still be off by a mile so lets start the battle and have a look

image.png

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

image.png

  • After first round I was totally in shock who great my team was doing
  • My Regal Peryton was able to dodge 2 out of 3 attack against him
  • Also I had managed to take down his first ranged monster with Close Range which meant that one more to go and after that he was going to lose a lot of damage to his ranged monsters falling to the first position and being not able to attack from there
  • But anything could still happen so lets keep watching
2nd Round

image.png

  • After 2nd Round I still had my entire team was all three Snipe monsters missed my Regal Peryton again
  • Now I was 100% sure I was going to win this battle it was just down to when
  • If I manage to hit ever attack I had the battle should end in the next round as I had 1 damage over is total hp
  • Lets see if I managed to hit all of them and bring the victory home
3rd Round

image.png

  • Even tho my Regal Peryton was finally taken down in the 3rd round he did get is attack of first and also so did all of my other monsters so this battle ended in 3 rounds
  • After all of his ranged monster had fallen I took the victory

Summary

  • This battle was definitely bone chilling at first but turned out extremely easy in the end
  • The Main thing to take away from this battle is to read the rulesets of the battle very carefully and not make the same simple mistake my enemy made in this battle
  • If you are not familiar with all of the rulesets in Splinterlands then go visit the List of Splinterlands Rulesets and look from there of learn them so you know for the next time you hop into a battle in Splinterlands
