After A Week in Wild Format - Brawl Gets Better

Hello Splinterlands Summoners

It's been more than a week since I started playing in Wild Format again. I feel the game getting a lot more difficult than the Modern Format, regarding I do not have plenty of selection for the battles. However this is the exact reason why I have chosen this path, a detour to old format.

Overall, I could not say this detour is fun because I had to start over again from bottom, however it has brought a real result to me. I have started to get the feeling of all edition cards again, recalling what I have been missing and starting to let go the habits I have been building unconsciously by playing modern format too long.

I believe the number will speak the truth. The last brawl was a good one for me, I got 5 wins and 2 loses. Before it was a similar number between win and lose, and sometime I lost more.

Let's be realistic here, I could not finish a brawl without losing any, because there is always some good players in any frays and my cards are limited too. So maintaining the lost less than a third of a total battles is already a great achievement for me.

I have a plan for playing another season on Wild Format, however I have one big issue here...

The SPS rewards for Ranked Wild is really bad. If I played in Modern, I should have got 4-5x more than what I got from Wild. However this is small number, only around 1-2 USD. This volume won't give me a lambo anyway, so I might ignore the rewards drop and focus what could help me play better.

Anyway that's all for my update this week. It won't be a good Splinterlands post if It has no battle talk. So let see our battle for this week then...

THE BRAWL BATTLE

Ok this is the battle I pick for this post. From all the battles in the last brawl, I liked this one the most. This was not an epic battle, but I defeated the odds in this battle.

Ok let see the first point, Melee against the thorn. During a battle against Mylor, sending a bunch of Melee units was far from a smart move, a dumb one. Thorn damage would kill your melee units and soon your units starts to die after they make their moves. I only use two melee units, MELEE lol... So basically I should lose tragically in this battle.

Second one was two melee units against a full team of 6 units. There is no exact rule or formula that states having more units are stronger. However in general, that is what happens. More units mean you can have more health points, you can have more attacking units, and many more. In this battle, I fight someone who has 3x units than me. Should I win this one?

The third and the last, I have no healing ability or deflection ability. You might say, hey your chimney Wallstop has a repair ability there!

There was a Blood and Sunder modifier in that battle. So all unit had Corrosive ward ability, and it was the counter for any thick armored melee units. So repair would not be a good solution here. And I would not worry for this kind of battle, remember small mana cap is my forte lol. I know I would do something wrong badly here, however I win more battle in small mana cap so yeah let's gamble with my idea here...

Ok let's fast forward this battle, because we already knew it would end as my victory against him.

At this point, everything became clear why I won this battle. Chimney Wallstop got overpowered from the bloodlust ability, each of his hit would kill any units. There was nothing they could do to stop him.

I am very happy with this result, especially due to beating a mylor team using full melee team. Actually I was anticipating Quora Towershead in this battle, that's the reason why I brought Chimney Wallstop. I needed his super hard hit to kill Quora, else she would keep healing herself.
